Masa African Hair Braiding

"Update: Masa immediately contacted me and asked me ro return to fix my braids. When I arrived, she immediately apologized and upon completion apologized again affirming my concerns. While it took me another 3 hours to fix my hair + 3 hours, in total to and from Harlem - I must acknowledge Masa's professionalism and desire to fix the issue and I really appreciate that! Because of Masa's response to my issue, I would visit the shop again. Thank you Masa for addressing my concern and rectifying the issue, as you noted we all make mistakes, but you went above and beyond. Old review: I went to this shop because of the reviews, unfortunately, my experience was anything but satisfying. One lady had to take out three of my braids, because they were not done correctly ( the other braider working on my hair , told her to do so). This same braider kept pushing my head to the side. My hair cost $250. I tipped the girl that did most of my hair $15 ( just because and I should not have), I tipped one of the braiders who braided the ends $5, and another that braided the ends $10 because she seemed like she cared about what she doing, unlike the primary braider and other lady who kept pushing my head down. To add insult.to injury, I get home and my ends look horrible. I have never had my hair braided and the ends look like this. $280 for a horrible job...never again. And it was room #3 I went to. I wish I had went to the first braider room."

"So I have used them because of their good reviews and it was the worst mistake I have ever made. I had my hair done for a vacation trip. I did the bohemian hairstyle medium braids and paid $400. I didn’t mind of the high price because I wanted my hair to be done properly. I have asked them to use human hair for the style and she said she will use it. Instead she lied about this and used synthetic. The synthetic hair started to fall out and have huge knots. I have called her about my hair and she acted clueless like she didn’t know what she did. Guys beware of the cheap hair that they are putting in your hair for the high prices. I will never go back to her again. In response to the follow up response from masa. I have already texted you on this matter and you started to act clueless and uninterested. Masa did the bohemian hair braid and have attached picture of how it turns out. A hot mess. This hair was done 2 weeks ago and check out the pictures. Enough proof to show that she used cheap hair instead of human hair. I have to take this hair out this week. A big waste of $400.00. Just seeing that you have responded to google review but yet not able to resolve this problem when I texted and call you multiple times with no response. I have nothing to gain to put negative reviews on a business. That is not my nature. I am a client who came to you for the first time to get my hair done and after 1 week my hair started to tangle and knot up at the end. Human hair does not look like that after 1 week even with poor maintenance. My review was honest and fair. I am wondering if those 600 good reviews were fraud because you are not professional or a nice person at all. I am warning people to be careful about the cheap hair that you used for that expensive price you charged and People deserved to hear the truth. I will not be going back and forth with you on google. Next time, you treat client fairly and give them what they asked for instead of being cheap and using synthetic hair for human hair."
