"I will begin by stating that I am not usually one to leave poor reviews, but in order to save someone else the time and money that I have lost, I have decided to share a brief synopsis of my experience in my search for a new GP; Basically, I was made to wait almost two hours past my appointment time to be seen, and when Dr. Gibson did arrive he spent, literally, less than 2 minutes speaking with me, after not even a brief apology or mention of his tardiness. It was made clear to me that I wouldn’t be prescribed any medication, which I was completely understanding of, but was treated like it was the sole mission of my appointment. After getting my blood work done (no urine sample was taken even after I asked), it took over a week to get my results, and I still never received a referral that I was promised. I have since found a wonderful new Dr. at East TN Medical who spent an hour speaking with me on my medical history, ordered new tests, got back to me with results and a referral/appointment with another specialist the SAME DAY, and booked a follow up appointment with me next month to see how I’m doing. I’m glad I didn’t settle, and while the rest of Dr. Gibson’s staff is lovely, I was incredibly disappointed by how I was “treated” by him."

"Dr. Gibson is wonderful! He is not only incredibly intelligent, but he is able to explain everything on my level. He's also very friendly and asks me about my husband and family every time I visit. Feels like visiting an old friend. I highly recommend seeing him!"

"Dr Gibson has been our family doctor for years. We love him, and his way of explaining everything. I have NEVER had another doctor go out of his way to make sure I understand everything I need to understand, without even having to ask. He wants his patients to be knowledgeable about their own health, and his staff really goes out of their way to be helpful. In his office, there is kindness, compassion and concern, not the 'NEXT... NEXT... as many patients per hour as possible' feeling you get across town at the 'group'."

"I was disappointed to find that you have to wait upwards of a week before getting an appointment to see the doctor. For new patients they request you fill out paper work on your insurance and the doctor then reviews, which is the week long waiting time. I appreciate the doctor/offices willingness to be thorough, but this seems like a dated process for this day and age. This is simply a review on the process from the perspective of a new patient, this review does not reflect any services rendered."

"This doctors office has absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. They will not return calls, your average wait time, even if you are the first appointment of the day is a minimum of an hour+. you have to make multiple phone calls for test results and the office staff is rude and condescending. The doctor seems nice, however is very inconsiderate of other peoples time, he is consistently late for appointments and does not seem to consider the fact that patients are essentially "hiring" him for a service and their time is equally as valuable. Doctors can be replaced and due to the inconsideration of time and lack of concern regarding test results and the disrespect shown by staff my husband and I are both leaving this practice."
