"Ortiz Aponte, J DMD did not tell me what kind fillings into my cavities- white composite fillings or silver amalgam fillings. The cavities were near the back of mouth. She just used the white composite. My tooth hurts when biting down and sensitive to hot, cold and air after fillings. I thought maybe better after a week, But it get worst. I went back office, She said the fillings were high. She makes a judgement for it, and will feel better in two weeks. Two weeks later, it did not get better, I visited the office again. She was off on that day. Other doctor told me the WHITE filling made my tooth sensitivity. She gave me two options: 1. Wait other two more month to see what is go on. Maybe get better. 2. Open the cavities, redo filling with silver amalgam fillings without cost. ( I did pay $315, insurance pay less than I paid. I was told insurance pay more for the silver fillings; patient pay more for the white fillings). What a nightmare! Lessons I learn from this treatment: 1. Select a good dentist. 2. Do research yourself."
