"We went on Wednesday evening after work. Very friendly hostess and waitress. Explained the menu and offered suggestions. Calamari was moist yet crispy. My wife had pan seared scallops and I had ribeye steak. Very juicy and delicious. Vegetables and sides nicely complimented the dish. Great meal. Excellent experience."
"This place is very confused. The concept, atmosphere, music, menu, and staff are all at odds, not a one on the same page. It acted as if it wanted to be a high-class establishment with very pedestrian finishings. The curtains were falling off the rings and crumpled. The photo gallery wall was packed with cheap frames that were going every which way (not a single one really in line), and the bathroom was inexcusably trashed and the door lock was broken (not to mention they were trying to use an oversized plant basket as a garbage). It doesn't end there, but I need to move on to staff and food. It took over 25 minutes to get a drink order, I ordered a specific suvignon blanc, one that I am quite familiar with. I was brought a chardonnay. I let it go and ordered another glass. They brought out the same chardonnay, and when I brought it to their attention, staff attempted to tell me it was, in fact, what I ordered. It wasn't. After speaking with a mater dei, they comped one of the glasses, and I gave up trying to get the glass I actually wanted. I got bumped into by the rear end of their social media camera, man who was walking around asking people if he could film them for their social media (something a high end establishment would handle with more care). We ordered 2 apps, the whipped feta lobster dish tasted like warm cream cheese that someone whispered smoke at. It was void of any real lobster aside from the dry rubbery claw perched on top for dramatic effect. The scallop appetizer was the best bite of the evening. It was well done, and the flavor was balanced and pleasant. I got the market priced paella. It was a gorgeous presentation. However, the "french curry" tasted more like old bay boiled in cream poured over a sticky gelatinous, poorly executed risotto. In an effort to get past that, I figured surely the beautiful seafood in the dish would carry it across the finish line. I was incorrect. Upon my first bite of the lobster tail, I discovered a cold raw center. It was all over for me from there. I was no longer interested in dinner there. I sent it back and declined a new dish. I was just finished. They offered dessert, and to their credit, the cheesecake was heavenly. Thank god we didn't let them know it was my birthday because twice while we were there, the staff came out in a line with a gimmicky base drum and an obnoxious sparkling candle singing, it felt like we had chosen to eat at bennihana. Overall, it missed the mark in any real way you could. The staff was kind and apologetic but also slow and inexperienced. woof."
"This is an outstanding local restaurant that we would highly recommend! The restaurant itself is very classy and elegant, yet inviting and comfortable. We absolutely loved the fireplace, which they were nice enough to seat us by. The service was excellent as well. Very friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive. We started with the shrimp (which they set on fire at the table!) and the scallop smoke show (which comes out in a smoke-filled dome). Both were delicious, but the scallops were outstanding! For dinner we had the lobster bucatini and the Chilean Sea bass and enjoyed both of these dishes as well. The Chilean Sea bass was perfectly cooked, very well seasoned, and delicious! We didn't have room for dessert, but we're sure those are all excellent as well. We definitely would highly recommend this restaurant!"
"Edit: We came back tonight, another Tuesday night, and the difference was night and day from my last visit. The service was phenomenal. The setting was spectacular and very clean. Our appetizer was amazing. Even though they were recovering from Syracuse University parents weekend they were ready for a wonderful evening. If you want a really good meal with some great atmosphere you should definitely check out LM Social. Service was extremely slow. Our server must have been new as he was running around all over the place. Told us our meal was coming right up and then came back 20 minutes later to say they are running behind. Other servers seem to be much better at getting stuff out and tending to their customers. My lobster scallops and shrimp were very good. My French onion soup was not bad. I have had better before but it was not bad. The tomato bisque my wife had was cold when they brought it out and she said something to the server so they brought out the next bowl so hot she had to wait 10 minutes to eat it. Her pasta pie was good as well. I would maybe come back if I could get a better server."
"We really wanted to love our experience here but unfortunately it wasn't the best. Our service was wonderful with well-made drinks and a flawless wine bottle opening. The vibes are also super cool and the space is beautiful. Unfortunately, the food was very underwhelming and the wine list is just filled with standard, corporate bottles at extremely marked up prices (two Rieslings on the list, yet not a bottle from the Finger Lakes to be found...). While all of the food was presented beautifully, our octopus was overcooked, chewy, and the sauce was overly sweet while the sweet potatoes on the side were bland. The papperdelle was remarkably under-seasoned and had minimal prosciutto and mushrooms (in hindsight, we should have just asked for salt). The staff is trained very well and our waitress was lovely. The space is stunning. Unfortunately, the food and wine experience did not match the professionalism of the staff, ambiance, and overall price."
