"I was a healthy 20-something until last fall when I got extreme fatigue followed by increasing memory/attention problems. This persisted until I finally lost my job, and started to become suicidal. I legit thought I had dementia. All along I had asked for tick borne testing, and was told that if I didn’t have a rash, then there was no point. Finally I put my foot down, and Dr. Moore stormed out of the room. Turns out I was right, I had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. I could have died, luckily I didn’t. What a joke. This is why women are more likely to die in healthcare. I am a nurse and could not get this practice to listen to me. Run to another practice. Also Dr. Moore/Tammy, I did have a rash, if you would have actually assessed me you would have seen it ."
"I can't say enough good things about Dr.Hall. She is very attentive and takes great care of our little one I highly recommend her."
"Extremely poor customer service. They do not followup or follow through with what they said they would do. I would recommend any other family doctor."
"Dr. Moore spent very little time with me and seemed to listen but he didn't hear what I was telling him. Instead he made up his own conclusions and ended up misdiagnosing my health problem and prescribing a dangerous medicine I did not need. His assistant did 95% of the doctoring and neither called to discuss X-rays or blood results. This office works more like an assembly line. Proceed with caution."
"Dr. Moore refused to give my mother a thyroid test when she was suffering from extreme weight gain, hair loss, fingernail loss, and a myriad of other nightmare symptoms. He told her "you are reaching an age when you have to be careful what you eat, who cares if you have an extra 20lbs or so?" To a woman, this is so demeaning and utterly ridiculous! Who wouldn't care if they were toting around an extra 20lbs, losing their hair and feeling miserable???!?!?!?! He also refused to refer her to a specialist. This went on for weeks and weeks until she would cry in her car every day because she felt so terrible and out of control. Finally she went to a specialist herself and her new thyroid specialist doctor had never seen anyone's hypothyroidism get so out of control. Her irregular hormone levels were dangerous. Thank God she got a second opinion. I still do not understand why the man refused to even entertain her (correct) theory of hypothyroidism. The way he treated her was unforgivable. Since then, I (who also used to be a patient of his) went to the practice and complained of symptoms that they just ignored. Finally, after a miserable experience, I went back several months later, was tested, and was diagnosed with a virus that they FINALLY treated me for. I FEEL THAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE NOT LISTENED TO US AS PATIENTS. I will NEVER be back there. Since then, I have become a patient at Carolina Internal Medicine, and I LOVE Dr. Cavanaugh, all my mother and 2 sisters now go to her as well. She was even able to stop my oncoming hypothyroidism in it's tracks before it got out of control like my mother's. (We didn't even ask her to test me! She just wanted to make sure because of the family history!!!) Anyway, we will never look back. FYI I'm not an extreme feminist or anything, but this man is the reason that women sometimes don't trust male doctors. I'm just happy to be with a doctor that I trust now, be it male or female."
