"I went to the hair braider Tata that works out of this salon. This review applies to her and her only, not the seasoned hair stylist that are employed there. Tata has her A fold out front of this salon advertising as a hair braider. I went to Tata to get knotless braids in my hair. I try my best not to passenger seat drive when someone is doing my hair, so I sat back and let her start doing her thing. To try to make a long story short, it felt as if she was moving up my head rather fast for inch sized squares (parts), so I asked to see the back of my head. The braid squares were huge and the braids were skinny. It was definitely not to my standards. I expressed that to her and she kept insisting I asked for medium, which I didn't. I never used the word medium, I specifically said an inch wide. She proceeded to braid saying no one will see it, as if I wanted to spend $180 (even with bringing my own hair) to conceal bad braids. She begrudgingly said she will do the last row over, which she ended up doing 2 out of the 3 rows after my persistent begging. Three huge rows covered the back of my head by the way. She continued to braid until completion and then proceeded to do the back over. Since I had to braid my own ends to avoid walking out with loose ends. I was trying to finish up her last braid to start unbraiding the ones she had to do over. Before I could get done she just started cutting. I couldn't believe my ears. I said your cutting my hair? She insisted she knew where my hair was. I took a deep breath, hoping she was right. Unfortunately, now that I have taken out my braids, it is evident that she did not know, because my hair is about 3 inches shorter in the back. I am so depressed over this, hence, the review. This woman just chopped my hair. I already was trying to deal with the subpar job she did, as every braid had multiple twists and lumps. I can't leave out the horrible parts. That people continuously pointed out to me. That didn't make these braids a joy to wear or have on my head. The woman cut my hair! So needless to say, I would not under any circumstances suggest anyone get their hair braided by this woman. Her go to phrase is "No one wil see it", and apparently that was her mindset about my hair being chopped as well, and concealed in the horrible braids. If you decide not to take heed to my review, God be with you."
