"if you want to be yelled at for your money, talked rudely - this is the place for it. I came with a photo and the master asked me another 100 questions and saw that she was offering me completely different solutions not like in the photo. I came with dry hair and she wet it and asked if I needed to dry it (it’s winter now and it’s strange to let a client leave with wet hair). left with tears and a horrible haircut"
"I have been to this place few times for my hair cut. And I have been charged different prices for the same hair cut which is basically trimming. Today, I had a different lady who charged $20 in the past to trim, but that lady in the corner yelled and told her to charge me $25 for a 5 minute trim plus tips in Chinese. I think her name is Vinny. Never going back there. I'd rather go to a barbershop for trimming and $10"
"Please don’t come here and waste your money. Joy is rude and laughed that I didn’t wanna pay for extra services saying it was too pricey for me. The lady doing my nails rude as well, no manners and sneaky ways to overcharge and the nails looked horrible. Too thick, bad paint job."
"I am saddened to report that this establishment, minus Joy’s husband who is a true business man, did not treat my daughter correctly when she was talked into getting her hair washed, blown dry and flat iron of the roots. Mary, a hard worker, persuaded her to do her hair as she has proven to do a fabulous job with my hair- from cut to same services my daughter requested. Joy insisted Mary stop doing my daughter’s hair after it was washed and ready for the blow dry to attend to a customer whom no one could satisfy (wanted more hair cut and more flat iron) and who messed up her toe nails when she left demanding they be fixed). Other staff were available but Joy would t allow them to fix it and attend to my daughter’s hair in progress. My daughter’s hair wasn’t combed through nor separated so washer person attempted to rip through her hair without products nor brush for curly hair that I purchased just for our long hair. She ended up having to separate and comb/brush through her own hair then Mary wasn’t available. This was after washer person walked away stating she couldn’t do anything more. Then Joy decided to charge her for the hair wash at the maximum price despite service being wash and blow. She stated hair stylist reserves the right to have customer wait and let washer person prepare the hair for the blow dry which she didn’t do but had her hand out for a tip. Needless to say, her hair was never blown dry nor touched at all by Mary who promised to do everything from start to finish. At the time I was ready to leave and pay, Joy got very loud and started arguing while doing a manicure and demanded we pay full price for a service never rendered. That she was doing us a favor and tried to say my hair price was a discount when her posted price is up to $65 max for a touch up color, wash & blow, long or thick hair extra. She always charged me $70-$75 stating my texture was like a “black girl.” I told her all hair is beautiful and if we pay for long and thick, the texture nor the person having the hair shouldn’t matter. Like it was a crime to have different hair texture than what she is accustomed to. Being in the area for decades should prove she has extensive experience and not discriminate nor complain about diverse hair types and lengths. If she and her workers couldn’t or wouldn’t want to do the hair, then refuse politely and refer her elsewhere- not publicly insult them in front of staff and other customers! Our hair texture btw is Hispanic and my daughter always wears hers naturally which is curly. She loves getting her pedi’s there with Ana who speaks little English and doesn’t speak while working. She does an excellent job if you can handle the rough treatment. We will not be going back there and encourage anyone not Asian like Joy to go there either. Especially if you have curly hair. Unless you are ok with them insulting your hair in a language you don’t understand."
