"My family and I have been going to Ricky’s salon for over 10 years at least. We live in FL and have consistently gone to NY just to go to him. He does a wonderful job on our hair, but I know the only reason we have continued with him is because it’s affordable. I’ve never had an issue with my hair, the only thing that I can say is that I’m picky and I know what I want. Sorry if that’s a crime. When I tried to go to him last year, he wrote me a text message saying that since I always have an issue, he will not be doing my hair anymore. I had no idea what he was referring to, because I’ve never had an issue. I was really hurt because it seemed like he had felt this way for a while and didn’t say anything, and he has also know me since I was young. I found it really rude and unprofessional that someone could treat me that way and we never had a prior conversation about it. I recently stepped into his salon to take my grandmother and he didn’t even have the decency to say hello. I’m disgusted that I even gave my business to someone like him. You don’t have to like me, but have some common courtesy and smile. Maybe he was upset that I showed him professional stylists pics that had beautiful balayage done, which he couldn’t do on my hair. Either way, just leaving this here in case anyone else gets treated badly. And always be kind to people. You never know what they are going through."
