About the Business
Heritage Hall International School, located at 1787 Dana Road in Hendersonville, North Carolina, is a secondary school dedicated to empowering a strong community of learners. Our mission is to enable students to meet high academic standards while also encouraging them to become responsible and successful young citizens. At Heritage Hall, we recognize that each child is unique, with their own learning style and strengths. That's why we offer a small classroom environment to cater to individual needs.
Through a student-centered teaching/learning relationship, we target learning differences and build on academic and creative strengths. Our teachers emphasize the social, emotional, and intellectual enrichment of each student. Heritage Hall is like a home away from home for our students, who form a close-knit community across all grades. They take field trips, celebrate holidays and special events, and ultimately graduate together.
Established in France in 1976 by educator Ms. Jannik Jones, Heritage Hall's North Carolina location was founded in 1980. Ms. Jones, who served as principal for 30 years before retiring in 2013, attracted hundreds of students and parents looking for a more personalized approach to education. Today, we are proud to continue her legacy of providing individualized, quality education to K-12 students.

"I attended Heritage Hall from 7th grade up until I graduated. I had an amazing experience there. I always struggled in public school because the teachers did not care about if I succeed or not. At Heritage Hall I soon realized the teachers cared tremendously about me and did whatever it took to help me understand what I was learning. If I needed something repeated 5 times they would comply. As a result of my positive experience my parents moved my other siblings to Heritage Hall. I am now in college and a straight A student. I feel like the education I received at Heritage Hall was a great foundation for my positive experience with college. Heritage Hall feels more like a family than a school and I still enjoy going to visit."
"Heritage Hall is a phenomenal school, and I got a fantastic education over the ten years I attended. My mother has been a teacher here for 26 years, but I only had her for two years of elementary school. The rest of the time I was taught by various other teachers, all of whom provided me with a well-rounded and high-quality education. I attended this school from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade before being accepted to the Henderson County Early College (now the Innovative High School), which is a highly competitive academic program. When I started at the Early College I was more than ahead thanks to my time at Heritage Hall; in fact, every Heritage Hall student who has applied to the Henderson County Early College has been accepted. This school is smaller than traditional public schools and allows for invaluable one-on-one interaction with teachers, all of whom go above and beyond to help their students. I had a great education and was more than prepared for both high school and college. I am now a pre-med student, and I know that without this school and its incredible teachers, I would not be where I am today. I truly could not recommend this school enough, especially to students who would thrive in a more individualized education environment."
"My son has been a student at this school for several years now and we have had a very positive experience. The teachers are very caring and they genuinely have each students best interest at heart. My son has anxiety and in the early grades it was pretty rough for him to be away from me. They were so patient with him and now he's doing excellent! I have been so impressed with how much he has learned. His reading is way above his grade level. It is a small school so the teachers are available for that one on one help. It is accredited and they do end of year testing just like public school. I also have an older daughter that is in the public school system. She is settled with friends/activities and I'll tell you my only regret is that I didn't know about Heritage Hall when she started school. I highly recommend this school!!!!"
"Heritage Hall has been and still is the Best School My Husband and I could have ever chosen for Our Daughters. Graduation Tomorrow and one more next year... I will always support this School. Staff and Students are just what a school should be like. Much Thanks to All at Heritage Hall."
