"Went with a friend for Queen’s Feast and they gave me so many reasons to return. To start, the lobster dumplings…… incredible! The acidity from the tomato based sauce really topped it off. My friend got calamari, which was a little disappointing as they almost tasted burnt. I had linguine and clams for my entree (not on the regular menu) but good. Clams were perfectly cooked. My friend had the crispy salmon skin omg that paired with the parsnip purée, very good!! For dessert we had the chocolate torte which was uneventful and the apple tart, very good! The service we received was also incredible, very attentive staff. Will be back for dinner and happy hour!"
"Was interested to try the Fox & Falcon by David Burke in Charlotte North Carolina. I’ve been to a ton of his restaurants in New York City and was at Red Salt a few times. The space was nice. Like a typical steakhouse. Modern and sophisticated. For a Wednesday night, it was pretty empty but it was also in January. Our server Jerome was fantastic. He was always available and answered all of our questions and split the bill for us. He also gave us a bunch of recommendations. Had a decent wine list by the glass and by the bottle. I started with a dirty martini with blue cheese olives. Whoever made the blue cheese olives was a novice. The blue cheese was floating in my drink. The wine was very good at a decent price point. The food was my least favorite. I haven’t had a steak in awhile, so went with the 8 ounce filet. I ordered it rare and the steak was cold. I ordered truffle fries as my side. They were cold and not crispy. All the steaks are à la carte. The taste was OK though. The popovers were definitely my favorite part of the meal. I’ve had those before in New York and they were delicious. The chopped salad was also good. I liked that they had the dressing on the side. The brussels sprouts were also good. They were crunchy and flavorful. We also had their signature clothesline bacon. I noticed that the price went up and the size of the portions went down. I remember it being much more flavorful and crispy at Red Salt. Everything was also very expensive. I don’t think I would go back."
"I was extremely impressed with the atmosphere of this restaurant. The waiter knew many many details and explained all the specials well. The drinks came out promptly. The popovers were outstanding. I ordered a Filet Minon, which was cooked a little too well and was small. I would recommend if you want well done like me order a medium. The cocktail was a miss. Sorry. This review is tough. Some people had the salmon and said it was very good. It looked good! I had the gingerbread bread pudding for dessert, it was a standard bread pudding dessert but there were a couple of interesting things about it. It had rosemary and a maple syrup topping. All in all I think everyone had a great experience and we stayed an hour longer than we intended to! It is a great date place!"
"My husband and I came here with friend on 12/23. Outstanding service and food. Probably the freshest oysters on this side of town. We will be returning frequently. Loved the twist on the shrimp and grits. Lobster dumplings were amazing."
"My girlfriend took me to dinner at the Fox & Falcon for my birthday. This is a new restaurant in SouthPark by celebrity chef David Burke. They have an impressive cocktail selection, and I started off with the Ashley Park. It is an old fashion with George Dickel Rye, fig, rosemary, Sherry, honey, black walnut bitters, and an orange peel. I loved it. For appetizers, we split the Gruyere Popovers and Lobster Dumplings. They were both outstanding. For dinner, I had the 8 oz filet mignon that was cooked perfectly. My girlfriend had the salmon, and she really liked it. She let me try a bite of her her salmon, and I thought it was delicious. We usually do not order dessert, but since it was my birthday, we shared the caramelized apple tart. It came with salted caramel ice cream. Wow, it was so good. I highly recommend the Fox & Falcon restaurant. I had a fantastic dining experience with great food, cocktails, top-notch service, and a beautiful date. This was a remarkable birthday dinner, and I am grateful for my girlfriend taking me here."
