"My daughter, and mother had Dr. Merten. She saw her and her assistant. None of the things that so many of these reviews say were seen by daughter or mother. She came home weak, not eating from chemo. She never said they even offered any suggestions. One time her blood had gotten so low, she had to have a transfusion. I realize that chemo is hard on the body, but again no suggestions whatsoever were offered by Dr. Merten or her assistant as to what she should do to not get to this point. But Matt did tell her early on to get her affairs in order and that if this type chemo did not work, they did not have nothing else. Nothing he ever told her was encouraging like he did so many of the other reviews. I see all the posts that were good were thanked at the end but the negative ones were not. To me if you had just one bad comment or anyone take the time to comment they too have been thanked as well. My daughter had doctors that were out of town, and we were informed that they would converse back and forth on her care. But needless to say that did not happen as well. The compassion level for my daughter was terrible. I would not even give the one star but that is the lowest they will let you give. I pray going forward that this this post will be published because I know it will help someone make sound decision about the care that them or their loved ones may or may not receive."
