"If I could give ZERO stars I would. This doctor is incompetent and should not be practicing medicine. My mother went to her with a variety of dangerous symptoms which Leslie attributed to carpel tunnel. When I forced my mom to go to the ER, one week later she was diagnosed with ALS. If I could sue this doctor for malpractice I would in a heartbeat. Do not under any circumstances put your care in her hands."
"Excellent physician."
"I have never met Doctor Smith, but My Daughter is employed at her practice. My Daughter is a soon to be Graduate at one of the best schools in NC. My Daughter wanted to be able to work with a Doctor that she would be able to learn valuable skills from. She has told me how dedicated she is to her patients and how much she has learned from Dr. Smith. She always speaks of how much Dr. Smith cares about her Patients, and Staff, and how she is honored to be able to work with a Doctor that is so passionate about the health and well-being of others. I hope to one day get to meet her and tell her Thank you for being such a huge part of my daughters success in the medical field."
"Dr Leslie Smith is far from "compassionate care" as theme of her practice is called. Her attitude and "bedside manner" is awful. She ordered tests for me and after a month I never received any results. I was notified by my surgeon of a possible heart issue and I need to see a cardiologist. I knew nothing of any issues.I talked to Dr Smith's nurse about this, and that I never received the information and she was sorry that I had not received the results. I made an appointment with my cardiologist ,and was given a clearance as a low risk for surgery, and it was put into my patient records. Five phone calls later Dr Smith"s office has not sent the information to the surgeon and never called me back as requested. I was told that they made me inactive, as I said I was not happy with their office and I may be changing my primary care physician. They did not follow up because of this. This is nothing but someone in her office trying to prove a point. To me it is PATIENT ABANDONMENT. Her sign in her office is a really good sign of her compassionate care. It basically says you are entitled to have one diagnosis per office visit. If you ask for anything else, you will be charged for another office visit and charged another deductible. Compassionate Care? You be the judge. If you notice, her office gets a 1 star rating. One might look elsewhere before putting your trust in health care with this office."
"I don't give bad reviews but I feel it's important to salvage others from the terrible way this practice has treated us. It is ironic this practice is called Compassionate Care because the type of care you receive is far from compassionate. In addition, he doctor, Leslie Smith, travels frequently and while she is gone, patients are left with NO CARE and the only option if you have an issue is to go to the emergency room. Her staff is un-empowered and ill-equipped to respond to questions or issues while she is away. They are terrified to answer basic questions. In the past month I have been with this practice, Dr Smith has traveled twice for days at a time. I've needed urgent medical assistance both times and she was not available to answer any questions. I even asked for a televisit and she said βNoβ. During office appointments, her bedside manner is lacking, shows no compassion at all. My husband went to her as well and also was dissatisfied with the way he was treated at his appointment. Follow up is non-existent at this practice. Quite frankly, this practice does not fit in with the warm caring culture of this area in the High Country. If you are looking for compassionate health care and a doctor you can rely on and trust, I would highly suggest you look elsewhere."
