Reviews of Ever-Lasting Counseling Service, PLLC
"Our family experienced a life changing event that completely transformed our lives. After different interventions we were blessed to find ELC. My three children were in desperate need of counseling and not connecting with prior therapists. Mr. Huie has a unique ability to reach each child at a different level. He used all types of tactical games while counseling them. He is patient and uses various mediums ( chess, checkers, painting, etc.) to best draw out the child. One of them even drew an amazing painting to convey their present feelings. I never knew the child had such advanced drawing and painting skills! He has helped me better understand each of my children. Thus, I have aligned them with some of those interests. After a few months, all of them are thriving in their own way and two are no longer in need of counseling. His office staff is very kind and works with each family. I am extremely thankful and highly recommend him."
"Since day one, my daughter has absolutely loved her therapy sessions. The therapist has made both my daughter and me very comfortable throughout all the changes that were happening in our lives. My daughter went from being afraid of being alone and even not wanting to go to school. Needless to say, her grades were extremely low. Since her first session, the changes in her have been gigantic. She had been diagnosed with ADHD, she has become much more confident, loves school, her grades have improve, sleeps alone in her room, and overall has become a much happier 8 year old. We highly recommend Ever-Lasting Counseling they have really changed my daughter's life."
"Seeking therapy at this location has been a pleasure every time i’ve gone for counseling. I highly recommend this place for adults who are seeking thought-provoking, self-reflecting treatment trying to change their ways overcome past traumas and incidents that occurred. I feel comfortable sharing my story"
"My daughter's doctor referred us to this therapist, in our first consultation he asked questions to the whole family to get into the context of what was happening, then 1 consultation with us parents and then with the patient. So far he has helped us a lot and my daughter has made great changes. I would recommend them"
"I booked an appointment for my son. One session was all it took for me to not want to go back. As soon as the session began, the “therapist” made some very inappropriate and direct comments to my son as addressing why we were there. My son became very uncomfortable and it made me uncomfortable for him. It was obvious to the therapist that his approach was not received well. He attempted to change the topic but at that point neither my son nor I were comfortable enough to proceed or open up to make it a productive session. After we left I contacted them to let them know we would not be returning. They were unhappy with my request to not book any more appointments and were refusing to accept my denial of their services. They kept insisting that it was required for me to go back in the office to sign a form to cancel any future session. I finally agreed to go back to put it to an end. When I got there, I was put in a room with the therapist behind closed door, at which point he started to interrogate me about why I didn’t want to continue there. I told him exactly why and he denied everything in a very hostile way. That made me feel even more uncomfortable, so I requested the document to sign so I could be on my way. He said there was nothing for me to sign, that I could just go. He made me come in under false pretense and waste my time. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. They are not professional at all."
