"Would give 0 star if I could. Dropped my taxes off and didn't hear anything back for 2 weeks. I could not get in touch with anyone at this office and left several voicemails. Had to contact corporate to see what was going on only to find out no one was actually assigned to complete my taxes. This office is completely unprofessional and I ended up having to do my taxes myself after these so called "tax professionals" couldn't get the job done in any sort of a timely manner. I do not recommend coming here if you can help it."

"Dear readers: please take the 1 star feedbacks to heart. I didn’t and now regret my decision to use this office. I’m completely dissatisfied with the lack of response, knowledge and help I received during the 3 weeks it took to finalize my very simple returns. Take your business somewhere else."

"If I could leave a negative star without a doubt I would. I was helped by Schulette Jerrick and as she started out very nice and friendly things took a ugly turn quick. I am a new business owner and I was told she would be the perfect person to help me due to her experience. I CANNOT TELL SHE HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR OVER 10 YEARS. I never leave reviews on anything but I am furious and felt the need to do so! There was information that she did not request upon my visit that I had to find out by another source is required in order to do taxes for business owners. I have been reaching out nonstop so that she can fix this matter and I only received one email saying ... I will have it this afternoon for you. It has been WEEKS and I have nothing from her. MUCH LESS AN EMAIL APOLOGIZING FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. I feel like I made a huge mistake trusting H & R Block with my first time business taxes. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I promise the person doing it out their own house will do a million times better job!"

"H&R Block in Wake Forest NC. Worst experience at an H&R Block we’ve ever had after using them for years. Sat in the office for a few hours with them on Tuesday (1/31/23) and had one box left that the tax professional (Elisa?) couldn’t figure out. She said to give her until Thursday and it would be finished for signatures and such. Called Thursday was told to give her until Friday, then another extension for Saturday. Then we called Saturday and the receptionist said to give her until Monday. Gave her all day Monday with no call back so we called Tuesday. My husband got a snarky response of “Well we do have other people’s taxes we’re doing, it’s our busiest time of the year, give her until Thursday.” Our taxes had been there a week already. I called back immediately and got the same snarky attitude from Allison with a new response of “Well we give you those timelines to make clients happy. It’s our busiest time and have other peoples taxes to do.” So we just give false timelines, lie, and then put aside others taxes who’ve been there already to do easier ones instead of finishing what you started? Maybe take less on and give realistic deadlines. Allison said she talked to our tax professional who said she would get them done that night. She called my husband that evening with an issue I needed to answer, she said she would pick up the phone (they were not close to be closed for the night), I called back immediately within 3 minutes and got sent to voicemail. Left a voicemail and called back several more times before they closed with no answer. The next day we gave them until the afternoon, no call back. We called the store and Allison still gave us the “we have other people’s taxes to do” and such. We demanded our taxes to be picked up for us to take them elsewhere. We showed up to get them. As soon as we told the receptionist our name she threw her hands up while talking to the “manager” that “this is the one I was talking about, you can deal with it” in that same snarky attitude while rolling her eyes and shaking her head. While we waited Allison claimed she didn’t know anything and we hadn’t talked to her on the phone, even though when she answers the phone she gave her name on each occasion we called. Still with an attitude. No other clients were in that office. I asked for the owner information or whatever number I needed to make a complaint and no one, not the receptionist nor the manager, could give me a name or phone number to call. Still everyone whispered and had an attitude like it was horrible we were promised a timeframe and still had no phone calls returned or given to us or even our taxes done. We would’ve been okay with the few extensions we had if they were done, but still was not done and they were trying to continue to drag it out. We talked with the manager who was monotoned and seemed like we were a waste of her time that we were there. Had no other options on getting our taxes done that we’re reasonable. The options were to have another person do them and we start over again, so to sit down for another few hours with possibly the same outcome, or to have one of the higher people do it but he’s there only in Tuesday’s and Thursdays so you’ll have to wait and start over with him again. Those are not acceptable. We said if they could cut the fees due to the issues and attitudes maybe we would stay but still that was not an option. We’ve used H&R Block for years, even when we were in the military in different states….never had an experience like this one at this location in Wake Forest, NC. When we were given deadlines they were correct and had no issues for all of our other returns. Unacceptable customer service on many levels. My mother was a receptionist and then Quality Control and tax prep for H&R Block years ago and also agreed this is not how everything should’ve been handled. I was able to contact corporate to file a complaint and they are trying to resolve it. But I will never come back to this location."
