H&R Block

"I scheduled an appointment to have my taxes redone and an audit addressed after the IRS notified me that my 2021 H&R Block filled taxes had been incorrect and I owed more and there were fees now. At my appointment time, the door was locked and nobody answered the phone at the 9113 Leesville Rd H&R Block in Raleigh, NC. Between being ghosted by them and having my taxes done incorrectly, I’d have been better off trying to do my taxes myself. I paid H&R Block for nothing but a headache."

"I made an appointment online to drop off my tax documents but when I went to reschedule the appointment, the online system said I didn’t have an appointment at all. I called the office on Friday April 1st at 4:30 pm and the receptionist told me I didn’t need an appointment and that I could drop off my tax documents on Monday. She confirmed that the hours listed online are wrong and that they close at 6pm on Monday. I just came to drop off my tax documents at 5:35 and they were closed. A man named Ted came to the door to tell me that they are not only closed, they also aren’t accepting any new customers for taxes. When I said I spoke to a woman on the phone about dropping them off today, he said a woman isn’t working there and insinuated I was lying about speaking to her because the receptionist is off today. Again, I spoke to her Friday about dropping off documents today (Monday). I understand that places are understaffed, but why be rude to would-be customers who are trying to understand where the miscommunication happened? So to anyone else who is trying to sort out their taxes after having something come up- the hours listed are incorrect and they are not taking new customers, even if the receptionist says they are and even if you make an appointment online."

"I made an appointment with Ted at H&R Block for 3/14/2021 at 3pm. I arrived at 2:45 to see a sign on the door stating the office was temporary closed. I called the number on the notice without a response. I called this morning to see if they were open and they were. The lady answering said Ted was responsible for letting me know they would be closed on 3/14/2021. She also said they were cleaning the office due to COVID. While I was in the parking lot I never saw anyone cleaning. I never received any communication from Ted or the H&R Block office on Leesville Road. If they were cleaning why couldn’t Ted or the receptionist contact me prior to my schedule d appointment. Very unprofessional."
