"Due to SC laws I was required to take the drugs and alcohol course to get my license back which is fine. I do however find it inadequate that there is only one program in the area of horry county that is all the way out in the boonies of Conway. I didn’t have a license at the time because of the DUI I had in 2018. Thankfully it was 2021 so post Covid rules were mostly zoom meetings however had to find rides to go piss test. I completed said course in July 21 and finished paying online dec 21. Fast forward after I had taken care of everything else to get my license back completed the breathalyzer program and such I’m on my last 6 months of SR22 I was pulled over for speeding which I shouldn’t be doing but come to find out I’ve been driving on a suspended license. The officer said I failed to complete the alcohol course which I did in 2021 it’s now 2023. Come to find out because I paid online it never completed the process to show I paid in full so my ‘provisional license’ which I never knew was provisional was taken. Thankfully I wasn’t arrested for driving under suspension. This is a poor act of care. I worked hard to get myself taken care and the help I needed and now I have to wait for my court date to prove to them it was a billing mistake because I decided to pay online. My wife and I work opposite schedules so we can watch our son whose not in daycare. Now she has to worry about taking me to work and then we have to figure out how I take myself and our son home because of an error on this mishap. It’s absolutely ridiculous."

"I was forced to enroll in this program afrer DUI. They have total monopoly over DUI programs here in Horry County. They refused to provide me with prove of enrollment. I went to DMV and stood in line for hours 2 times already. DMV is claiming they never got anything from Behavioral Center. I kept calling them and getting same answer - we sent it. We resent it. I do not know how to connect those 2 organizations and can not get Provisional License because of this situation. This ia not all...during enrollment I specifically highlighted that I am on Suboxone for many years. Provided name and information about my doctor. But according to center they found opiod in my system. Looks like those people not talking to each other and I wish so much I never would meet them. Frustrating and powerless..."

"I was at my rock bottom, and I called shoreline after detox. They got me from detox to them and it was very easy, all of the people who work there really care. I have been clean for over 7 years now, and I honestly don't think I could have found a better place for me than this. I would recommend them to anyone struggling with addiction and mental health issues."

"Called to cancel an apt for a mandatory 28 day shot the day before. No one had any remorse for this even when the patient mentioned how bad off they felt. Kept the apt but 100% declined to offer the shot on the mandatory 28 day mark. Asked to reschedule over a week out! Day of, within minutes before apt called to cancel it. This place is absolutely unprofessional, unorganized and zero patient care empathy. This place is a joke. Please do not waste your time looking for help at this business. Go somewhere else!!!"

"Overall I find Shoreline to be very helpful in someways classes and especially the women’s house which I stayed at that Could use a little work. The outdoor jungle gym type thing is amazing and I think that is the best and building confidence and getting back out there in the world not being afraid.there however once you’ve graduated and you were trying to move forward to get your drivers license or any other type of certificate things get a little bit messy I’ve been trying for weeks to get a hold of people that will help me move this process along so I can get my drivers license and they seem preoccupied overworked I’m not sure. But the whole point of the program is to move forward and live in a life of recovery and to do that getting your drivers license is definitely part of it I would just appreciate them putting more effort into getting clients out and into the world with what they need rather than keeping them there and classes over and over."
