"Run away from Thriveworks. It's unfortunate, because the providers are great, but the billing department is as corrupt as it could possibly be. If you care about your mental health, go anywhere but here. I have a unique situation: I have primary insurance and secondary insurance. My prior authorization for 100% coverage of sessions is through my secondary insurance. Thriveworks completely stopped billing my primary insurance (which is illegal), and when my secondary insurance would decline the claims because they went around my primary insurance, they started billing me the amount owed ($1800!!!!!!!!). I have been a client for 10 months and have had billing issues every. single. month. Today alone, I kid you not I have spent 5 hours on the phone with both my insurance companies and Thriveworks billing. Every time I call the billing department, someone new answers and gives me a different explanation of what's going on. I can't get through to a supervisor, they often tell me they will call, but they don't ever call me back. I have LOST money by spending my work days on the phone with them for basic issues that could be fixed with a little bit of attention to detail and competency. I have never been more disappointed in a practice in my entire life. The owners should be ashamed of themselves and the entire brand of Thriveworks."
