CARENET COUNSELING NORTHWEST REGION

CareNet Counseling Northwest Region, located at 204 Jefferson Street in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, is a health institution celebrating its 40th year in 2023. From its beginnings as a pastoral care and counseling center with a single part-time employee in 1983, it has grown to operate out of its principal location in North Wilkesboro and 12 total locations in Wilkes County. With 8.5 full-time equivalent therapists and three clinical residents, the region is dedicated to providing vital mental health services to the community.

Under the leadership of Robert Willis since 2016, the region has expanded its presence in the community by integrating into schools, primary care clinics, and a church. Plans are in place for a 40th-anniversary celebration and a fundraiser to support those in need of mental health care. The region's commitment to growth and stability is evident through its long-serving leaders, such as Rev. Dr. S. Steven Duncan and Rev. Bryan Hatcher.

As the need for mental health services continues to grow, CareNet Counseling Northwest Region remains dedicated to providing quality care without discrimination. They are looking to hire more clinical staff, including substance abuse counselors, to meet the demands of the community.
