North Carolina Arts in Action

North Carolina Arts in Action is a nonprofit institution located in Carrboro, North Carolina, dedicated to teaching children life skills through dance and music. Our programs are accessible to all students regardless of abilities and socio-economic status, empowering children in elementary schools statewide. Our Executive Director, Marlon Torres, believes in placing the arts at the center of children's lives.

We are currently raising funds to reach more children in Title 1 public schools in the Triangle area. Thanks to the generous support of the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust, we have successfully met a $500,000 matching grant to fund our growth. We are now just $31,000 away from reaching our total campaign goal of $1.3 million by June 31.

We invite you to join us at our fundraising event "ALL ABOARD" on April 18, 2024, at Union Hall in Raleigh Union Station. We extend our gratitude to the sponsors who have supported Arts in Action. Children are welcome to join our LEAP Team season for 2023-2024.

North Carolina Arts in Action partners with schools in Orange, Durham, and Wake counties to bring in-school and after-school dance programs to elementary students.
