"I love Dr. Robinowitz-Elins. I had so many uterine fibroids that were disrupting my day-to-day life, causing me extreme pain, and affecting my health in other areas. When I showed up in her office she and her team were so understanding, and caring, and listened to my concerns. They performed a vaginal ultrasound and found several fibroids on the inside and outside of my uterus. They scheduled laparoscopic uterine fibroid removal by using the Acessa procedure (very minimally invasive). When it was 2-3 weeks before my surgery, my insurance wanted to deny my coverage. Dr. Robinowitz-Elins and her team advocated for me and were able to get my procedure covered at the last minute. I am 6 months post-operation, and I am doing much better. My quality of life has made a complete turn around. I no longer have to plan my day-to-day life around my cycle; I am no longer in pain, my monthly cycles are no longer extremely heavy/long,, no longer have breakthrough bleeding, and I can still have children in the future. Dr. Robinowitz-Elins and her team truly care for my health and well-being. I will continue to allow her to be my OBGYN, because I trust her and her team. I was constantly told in the past that what I was experiencing was normal and simply part of being a woman, and would be prescribed birth control pills and told to take iron tablets. What I was experiencing was not normal and I am happy I went to her for a second opinion. I highly recommend Dr. Robinowitz-Elins. Schedule an appointment. Her assistant, Cat (Catherine) is absolutely everything Dr. Elins is.... The ladies at the check out desk ..Ali and Asia share the same attributes.. warm and extremely friendly. "She performed my hysterectomy by default due to an issue w my surgeon last year. During pre-op she admittedly told me some of her own health issues & shared that we go to the same neuro surgeon and that she was delaying her own surgery against the Dr's recommendations--- During surgery she perforated my bladder--- They never informed my husband of the issues during OR or that a specialty team had to be called in for some 5+ hours. It wasn't until the waiting room receptionist as she was about to leave that if the phone rings its for him he responded w/ " I assume she is still alive"? I spent next 3 days in the hospital and out of work almost 8 weeks, when it should have been 2-3 wks. After 2.5 weeks, my cath was removed and at the follow up w the Urologist @ week 3 he explained it was because she cut too deep into my bladder wall and NOTHING is wrong w my bladder. Complained to Novant and NOTHING was done, I was dismissed and was forced to pay all the medical expenses to avoid collects. DO NOT LET HER OPERATE ON YOU- SHE IS NOT FIT TO PRACTICE."
