"I was scheduled to see Dr. Mammel for a post-ultra sound appointment because my OBGYN's office couldn't fit me in on the specific day it needed to be done. Based on some negative Google reviews, I was apprehensive, especially with something so personal. Pleased to say he was incredibly professional, friendly, had good suggestions and was thorough in explaining things to me and my husband. Felt he deserved a fair review from a pleased patient."
"I love having Dr. Mammel as my OB. As a woman of color I have never felt discriminated against by ANY doctor and especially not Dr.Mammel. I enjoy his approach to just get down to business at every appointment. Some women may prefer a more chatty patty type, but I do not. I prefer to just stick to the science and go on about my business. He never pushed me to have anything done that I did not want (unlike other providers I have experienced). I would highly recommend this doctor and to people who are NOT overly sensitive, like to get straight to the point and dont play the victim... My husband likes him too, plus he has been doing this longer than I have been alive so I trust his judgement."
"Dr. Mammel was the doctor we used during my first pregnancy. He was absolutely amazing during my entire pregnancy and always answered any question that I had openly and honestly. He is very direct and to the point which is something I personally respect. We were even lucky enough to have him be the one who delivered our daughter during her birth. I am now pregnant with my second child and was very disappointed when I heard that he left Florida to relocate to North Carolina. Although my current doctor is also wonderful she does not compare to Dr. Mammel."
"I was very excited to see Dr.Mammel at first. He listen to my needs about baby and seemed very concerned. I’m a high risk first time mother. After going over my baby concerns I spoke to him about what the other doctors and I spoke about about my risk during delivery and he immediately said “that doctor didn’t say that” looking at my chart/file. Completely calling me a liar just because the other doctor didn’t put it in my notes. After, we spoke about possible excess bleeding and again he said “your other doctors said your fine and to stop looking on the internet. Again completely being dismissive & not taking what I asked or said seriously. I have to 2 rare chronic illness so I have to research. It was definitely terrifying seeing how I was treated being a FTM, high risk & a black woman. I love all the other doctors on staff but praying we don’t get Dr.Mammel when it’s time to delivery our sweet baby. If you fall under any of my categories and have questions/concerns I would try another doctor first."
