"Had a 6pm resy on a Thursday night for two - there weren't too many people but the restaurant filled up quite quickly by the time we finished our meal (around 7:30). Good service and extremely fast turnaround on food orders. Friend ordered the pasta special (assuming this varies time to time but confirmed it was worth). I ordered the pesto gnocchi and can also confirm it was very good - texture and flavor exactly how I'd imagine. Their half-frozen chocolate dessert also very delicious and would recommend as a sweet closure."
"This is one of the best restaurants in Manhattan for authentic good food. Highly, highly recommended. The wait list to eat here is worth it. I promise you, the servers have been with the family for 20+ years and know what they are doing. The owner and his family are very welcoming and love to come to your table and tell you their stories. They do not have highchairs for children. You need to lap them or bring a travel chair that connects to a seat that is part of your reservation. They don't have a children's menu, but I have never heard of a child that doesn't like spaghetti and meatballs. Our child ate the rabbit pasta, and he loved it. The prices for everything are actually super fair. We thought it was going to be more. Pasta started in the lower $20, and special pasta started in mid to high $20. For anyone who eats Italian, you know hand-made pasta in NJ can fetch much higher prices and not nearly as good as this place. Portions are good for one person."
"Truly excellent pasta. I was worried that it would be just another hyped Italian restaurant, but the food, especially the pasta, was delightful. The cappeletti were flavorful, juicy, and melting in my mouth. The anchovies on bread were simple yet buttery sweetness. The chocolate semifreddo was also really good."
"Small Italian restaurant, with an extensive bar. The food is just okay, but the drinks and service are really good! A bit pricey but good for a date spot."
