"This is an edited review because for some reason my other one was hidden. This place cost $45 dollars for 2 9 inch subs and a 6 inch sub, that is absolutely absurd. I used to love Primo when I lived in PA but the prices were far cheaper. On top of the high prices, my one sub included none of the requested toppings. The employee at the register was friendly until I purchased a soda and coleslaw and didn't tip, his attitude completely changed to hostile. He then took my online order and literally ripped the receipt off and threw it in the trash for some unknown reason after giving me an attitude which was very obviously because I didn't tip. Sorry people, I'm not rich and I'm definitely not tipping after I just paid $50+ for some coleslaw, a drink and 3 small subs. EDITED: This business commented in the typical Amazon fashion. They didn't request to contact me and discuss the experience, the date of this transaction or the employee I mentioned. According to others they also charge around a 5% upcharge for online ordering which literally saves them money compared to going in person and ordering in store. I was ecstatic to hear that we we're getting a Primo Hoagies after being a religious customer of theirs for years in Pennsylvania. I will never return as a customer regardless of where they am because this brand has clearly gone the way of neglecting the customers that literally made them what they are today."
"Ordered a small and regular subs , $23 dollars. Ok, I could live with that until I was handed my order? Half the size of Subway and a third the size of DiBellas or Jersey Mike’s! Wanted to give the new guy a shot, but not at this price. They offer coupons on the website, but not on the menu in the store? When I asked to use the coupon the counter help could not do it, large line behind me so I said don’t worry about it. Then when I cashed out he asked if I would like to leave a tip, I told him the coupon was his tip, that didn’t go over so well? Probably our first and last time. To bad."
"One star due to the fact they charge more to order ahead than in person. What an absolutely ridiculous thing. I paid $6+ more each for two whole size hoagies. I will be filing a complaint with the NYS attorney generals office. Chick Fil A just had to pay a massive settlement because they did the same thing. Why would you charge more when it gives your new staff time to make the order? The food is good. Coming from South Jersey where you can find a Primo anywhere, it’s nice to have one here. But get your act together. You already charge a premium for your product but then gouge customers that use your online ordering system. DiBella’s Subs is closer to the northway and they don’t stick it up your you know what when you order ahead. The location sucks. The parking lot is not large enough to handle this store and a drive thru Starbucks. But given the foot traffic when I picked my order up, this location may be doomed already. New Yorkers are tired of being absolutely hosed."
"Subs are huge! Great variety and selection for everyone. Get the pepper shooters, so fresh! The team was very friendly and knowledgeable, we will be going back soon."
"Here on opening day, waited in line. Once the doors open wait wasn't to long. The young lady at the cashier was knowledgeable and welcoming- it was appreciated. I got the Philly Cheesesteak and the Nellie both served on Sesame seed roll. The roll has to be the best roll I have had in the Capital District in a long time - it had bite but the inside was perfectly soft. The Philly is as you expect with Cooper Sharp cheese which isn't often used in the area - definitely a welcome addition. The Nellie was a roasted pork with provolone and rstd red pepper's - it was good but next time I will try the pork with the broccoli rabe.. Best wishes on the opening and many more to come. God Bless!"
