"So they requested me to do a review when you first move in but I decided to wait for my entire experience before putting a review. My overall experience has been fine which is why they have three stars. The maintenance team is great ! I rarely need them but when I do it is a quick response. I was considering leaving due to the fear how much rent would go up but I was not sure. I received my renewal noticed the END of January giving me a little over two weeks to decide what I am doing. I thought that was odd as normally apartment complexes would respect their tenants enough to give them at least a full month in advance but nope a short short amount of time. I reached out via email due to another incident earlier last year ; so I wanted to make sure I had documentation. I ask the leasing manager about the process a while ago and was told I would get a nice amount of time to make a decision (30days).Now he doesn’t remember; which is why I decided to document everything via email only. Now, to the incident earlier last year, I had to have reached out at least 3 times around the time I first moved in (2 calls and one via portal). I was having a hard time b/c my neighbor would be stomping, making loud noises and moving things around in throughout the day and NIGHT. I literally reached out to them via portal late at night as it was an ongoing problem at the time (1:07am) and was told they would reach out to him. The last time I called regarding this one of the managers told me they wanted to get ensure he was comfy in his apartment never mind the fact that I too pay rent and is reaching out due to not being comfortable (there were times it would sound as though someone is literally in my apartment) !! After that I did shut down and realize nothing was going to get done so I stop reaching out regarding the noise(keep in mind things got better every so often but it was STILL an issue). Now they are making “Fetch” a mandatory thing. I asked the manger if it was; as there was nothing in my portal specifying that it was. I explained that we get charge $5 for pest control(no biggie) a month and yet I never used it other than when I first moved in so basically explaining that it’s not going to be utilized and that it was optional in throughout this past year(mind you I have never seen pest control spray the buildings at least once a month; I believe even though we pay for it monthly we have to request it’s services). He literally said I didn’t have to use it but I’m still going to be paying a monthly fee for a delivery service that basically does the same as UPS, Amazon and so on and so forth. They have no parcel lockers here so literally the package will still be left at the door (Parcel lockers would have been the safer and smarter option btw) .. I am writing this review b/c my experience overall has been okay but it’s clear I am not valued at all as a tenant. Now b/c of the short notice I was given; I may have no other choice but to renew this lease. I am more so upset about the lack of empathy regarding the noise and the small time frame I was given to renew. I had been looking at the sister apartment but I’m not sure if that should happened since it’s the same company. Oh and I won’t even start with the bugs (even though we are paying a monthly fee to help prevent them)."
"I am updating this review. I have to say I was surprised and delighted that the Carrington staff very promptly took my concerns seriously and real action was taken. The price/value ratio is not as good as in recent years but the units themselves are of good quality. I hope they remain committed to providing a positive and user-friendly experience to renters. If you work in the area, Carrington is a great option."
"I've lived here for almost 10 years now and it started off great. The communication with the front office was amazing and they would reach out and plan things. They have been sold management companies or changed so many times though and each one has been getting worse. With the most recent take over though its been the worse by far. Recent changes to the leases such as no longer being able to dry cloths on patios. Cutting down a lot of the great trees that made it look amazing. They havent cleared the walking paths all year, over grown grass all over the place on it and on the sides. So you cant use it to walk your dogs anymore. No more fun activities or food trucks. They sucked the life out of this place."
"It is an OK community overall. We lived here for 7 years, and it was much, much nicer when we moved in. The property has gotten sold multiple times, and it has gotten significantly worse with every change of hands. That's exactly what you'd expect too, as every new owner tries to cut costs further and raise rent, even as the place keeps getting older and needs more work. The apartment itself was great for us. Good layout, spacious, well designed. The last straw for us was when they hacked down dozens of beautiful, mature trees all around the community, with zero communication or explanation. One day they were there, next day they were all gone. That was the biggest reason we stayed as long as we did because all other things aside, the trees around the building and the community made it a beautiful place all 4 seasons of the year, like no other in the area. There were several other things that come with cost cutting that we were essentially looking past for a long time, because the trees were enough to keep us there. However, them being gone coupled with rent that kept on increasing with no added value whatsoever, it was becoming an increasingly worse deal every month. I won't comment about the office staff because the way I see it, they are doing a job. If the value proposition of the place is inherently bad, there's not much they can do beyond a point to compensate for that. And having to be the face of that type of a deal is not easy. Overall, we had a great experience living here for as long as we did. But if you're moving in today, I highly doubt yours will be anywhere as good."
"I was first interested in this place because I had read some good things about the Bell Partners, which is the property mgmt firm. I’ve only been here a month, but I I’ve been a longtime renter at other places which weren’t so great. Anyways, I’m impressed with these apartments, and maintenance and mgmt have been quick to respond to concerns and fix-it requests. So yeah, I’m glad I came here"
