Reviews of Audubon Lake
"Lived there about a year. Overall a good experience. Workout room needs to be updated. The office personnel were really awesome! Especially Marilyn and Angelica!!"
"My neighbors downstairs are living like Cheech and Chong in their apartment. All the pot smoke blows into the other apartments and you can smell it while walking outside. Too many obnoxiously loud neighbors. Office will do NOTHING if you complain. So move here if you want to live next to drug dealers who are obnoxiously loud!! They constantly jack up the prices every year also. They caused USPS to not deliver our packages for several months and did nothing about it."
"I have never written a review- but Audubon Lake really disappointed me in my final 6 months there. I moved to the property, as recent college undergrad, in 2018. It was great, I had a quaint 1bdrm/1 bath. It was an awesome location, affordable, and had access to the airport. Then, in Sept 2022, Ticon Properties increased the rent by 400-600 dollars (unless I was willing to sign a 18 month lease). This came with no upgrades or amenity changes-- just a really high increase in rent. Regardless, I decided to sign a 6 month lease because it was convenient and I had been really pleased with my experience with the property until that point. Around the time of my final lease renewal, the property began making the living experience so unpleasant. The people downstairs would get into screaming fights- to which the police responded on a few occasions. My boyfriend, who was active duty in the military at the time, would come visit. One day, I received a letter that I had an illegal occupant, per the lease, and they identified his vehicle and license plate number. To this day, I still don't know how they would have been able to know this information without watching us... Fast forward to my move out on March 21st. No one came to do a walk through. Fine- I took pictures because I was moving several states away. In the 2nd week of April, when I had not heard back about my security deposit or charges- I started to reach out to them. They gave me the run around, and no one is able to explain why I haven't received my money. I'd encourage you to check out their BBB complaints because the exact same thing that happened to me, in regards to return of the security deposit, has been reported there. This makes me think that it is less of a one time mistake, and more a trend with the property management. I'll include my move out pictures for your reference. Depending on your situation, it could be the move for you- but I wanted to provide the info as a beware, especially for those of you all moving out!"
"I have genuinely enjoyed living here until recently. The front office at Audubon Lake decided to close their mailroom, allegedly to avoid liability in the case of a stolen package. I’m not sure why this means they had to close it and not just make a closed system where you have to show an ID to pick something up. Due to this, USPS will no longer deliver packages to addresses within this community. You instead have to pick up any packages yourself from the post office. I understand that USPS has a role in this situation too, but the fact that Audubon Lake knows this and still continues not to make an effort to change or just reopen the mailroom speaks to a lack of care for residents."
"Would highly recommend to anyone who likes apartments that are quiet! The walls are very thick so I never hear my neighbors which is a hard thing to find nowadays. Maintenance is very accommodating. Convenient location to shops."
