"I do not recommend Bell Meadowmont, now called the reserve at Meadowmont. The apartments are nice but the staff became unbearable by the continued lack of professionalism and unnecessary sarcastic remarks. Katie demeaned my roommate because he showed up to the leasing office in his Starbucks uniform. Karen, the manager, was always confrontational and wanted to argue. The two new staff were always helpful but having to deal with the others if there was an issue with the apartment/maintenance made it uncomfortable to know you may have to deal with them at the office. After 06 months we broke our lease and moved due to these continued interactions."
"I'm just so tired of the complex constantly and unilaterally amending the lease agreement. The 30% rent increases year over year are bad enough. As of this week, we no longer have access to the payment portal and are required to go out of our way to buy and pay our rent with cashiers checks, which takes an hour out of our day and costs us an extra $25. Be aware - paying these people is hard. Talking to a bunch of our neighbors this is a complex wide mandate."
"Absolutely amazing place to live! We came from Canada and had various issues with renting an apartment, however, Brandon with his panoramic knowledge and helpful manner made sure we were fully covered. I ended up renting an apartment from them sight unseen and we could not be happier. The place is clean, fully functioning and much more spacious than I was expecting. All the sales team members are amazing and quite helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough."
"Very nice facility. Four stars doesn't mean it is like a 4 star hotel type 4 starts. Just that we really like it. Apartments are spacious if you don't put a lot of furniture in them! Kitchens have new countertops, sinks and cupboard doors. There is a lot of cupboard space. They do not always give a lot of attention to detail, but it is still a well kept facility. People are friendly and from all age brackets. Pool area has just been redone and is attractive. Exercise room has good equipment."
"Do not live here! I am a current unhappy resident. And so are all of our neighbors that we've spoken to. Bell Meadowmont has had a horrible management team (with the exception of Mike, who is no longer there) the entire past year. It has been a construction zone for 9-months now. Re-painting the exteriors, re-doing the roofs, re-paving the parking lots, re-doing the gym, re-doing the pool (right as it warms up for Spring).... all the while we are paying the same amount each month for rent without any of the amenities they promised for much of this time: no gym, no pool, no grills, etc etc... When we first moved in my husband was having severe allergy issues. I asked the management team about whether an animal lived there previously, or if they could possibly re-vacuum the carpets. Anything to help with these allergy issues that the doctor had tested was due to animal fur. They told us they didn't have a way to let us know if there was an animal living there previously, and they would only re-clean the carpets if we re-signed the lease for another year. At which point they shared they would be increasing the rent by at least $200 dollars a month. All the while we're still in a construction zone with no amenities. Thankfully we're moving out in a month. We'd have been out sooner if they would let us. To a brand new town home, the same distance from UNC, for the same exact price as a 1BR at Bell Meadowmont. It is safe and a good location. But that's about it. All this to say I'm trying to keep you from a terrible living experience, and suggest looking at Realm Apartments or Palladian Apartments right down the street!"
