MAA Patterson

"This community offers is one of the best pricing for luxury and convenience in Durham. I've been in MAA Patterson for a couple years and it has been well kempt. Occasionally, I've had issues that needed immediate fixing and my requests were consistently addressed within 48 hours on business days. The location is great, conveniently situated roughly 15 minutes equidistant from both Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill, with various supermarkets, restaurants, and groceries within a 2-mile radius. I've interacted with a few staff (Amy, Mildred and Noah) and they've been supportive and friendly throughout my stay at MAA Patterson."

"I’m in my second year at MAA Patterson obviously because I’m happy and comfortable here. The office staff is unusually responsive and friendly, maintenance responds usually within one day and speedily takes care of needs. The grounds are well kept as are the buildings and I have not felt unsafe once. Highly recommend."

"Overall, good apartment for a good cost. It has its issues here and there but it's all manageable. The location is great, and the layout of the apartment is one of my favorite parts. Very pet friendly, and neighbors are quite friendly too! Close to a wooded area so expect to see some critters (snakes, frogs, voles). Some parts and amenities in the apartment are outdated and rundown for sure, and weren't properly cleaned or maintained between tenants. But there's new management, and I've been pleased by their changes so far, so maybe it'll get better down the line. I would also like to praise the maintenance team, Joe and David, who helped me with a broken, leaking water heater. After a bit of talking with them, they told me they had never seen a water heater installed like my old unit in the past 12 years of working at MAA. The water heater had to be banged up and almost taken apart, to take it out of the closet. Yet they were able to find solutions to get it out and get the new water heater in, in just 6 hours. It might sound like a lot of time, but after their description of the problem, I fully expected to go at least 24 hours without a water heater. Also, I had to leave my apartment for an in-person meeting and when I returned, they had left everything clean and back in its place. Also, my cat really loved them, and she can be picky about who she likes! They are truly a marvelous team!"

"Don’t move here it is a waste of money and time. These apartments are not in good conditions. The amount of money you pay for amenities and the apartment are not worth it. Things in my apartment keep breaking. My hot water only stay hot for 7 minutes in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom. The hot water and cold water are attached wrong. So when I want hot water it’s cold and when I want cold it’s hot. I asked to get it fixed cause they refused. My apartment is not properly insulated. I got mold in my apartment. The list goes on I stayed in two different apartments in this complex and it was still the same issue in both apartments."
