"I lived at this complex from 2015-2020 . Though an older apartment complex it maintenance and office staff were great . The complex is near a quiet neighborhood and you have access to each side of the city depending on what direction you drive in. The price was great compared to the most in the city. Overall I enjoyed my time living there."

"Edward, Zandra, Lisa, and Maintenance staff I can't tell you how much I appreciate living here. They truly value you as a resident and it shows as the people I meet have been here at minimum of 5 years. On the tour, I met Vicky who has been here for 20 years! What? Yes, you won't get any frills and upgrades but what you do get in return is priceless: safety, quiet, awesome neighbors, instant maintenance, and a caring staff. I also drive for Uber and pick up all over the city and ask about their experiences and what they pay. I struck gold here. I just hope me blabbing about it won't make rent go up :("

"I lived in a studio apartment at the Chimneys for almost two years. I wanted to give the place a fair review. This was my very first solo apartment and I loved it. First of all, the rent here is incredibly affordable compared to the rest of Charlotte, especially given how close it is to everything (5 mins or less to Cotswold shopping center, 10-15 mins to uptown without traffic). I will say, the buildings and units are old, however they're well maintained for the most part. You won't get the granite countertops and stainless steel appliances that you'd get at a "luxury" apartment, but everything is clean and functional, so for me it was perfect. For the most part, management stays out of your business and doesn't impose 15 new rules per week like a lot of these newer corporate complexes do. There's no mandatory fees besides rent. Water is included. So is trash. You pay power and internet. There's no W/D in any of the units, but they just upgraded the laundry room. The pool is small but nice and well maintained. The community is an eclectic mix, lots of older people, small families, young people living alone, and couples. It's a quiet complex without a lot of noise. They don't allow dogs so you don't get dog waste or barking ever. If I ever needed to move back here (I moved closer to work), I'd be happy to do so. Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is a hidden gem."

"Very friendly office staff and good maintenance. During the time I stayed it was quiet and peaceful. They had good communication and took care of the maintenance we needed. The unit was nice and clean upon move-in. The only issues I came across while living there were some wasps outside of the unit. Maintenance took care of the nests whenever I noticed one. If I ever end up needing a place to live on that side of town again they would be my first go to!"

"I moved out for the first time back in September and The chimneys have been amazing so far. Lisa is always pleasant and helpful. Every time I call the office I get the help or answer I need. It’s super quiet and well kept. I see landscapers outside all the time cleaning up the leaves and keeping the grass mowed to look nice. One time my heat went out and they fixed it the same day I called. I am very happy with the decision I made."
