"I have been living here for 3 years and I’ve been through different management groups in the office and by far the most successful managers in place now are on top of the needs of the residence. I feel safe and I love the improvement that has been taken place thus far if I had to answer the question would I refer Cortland, Mallard Creek Apartments to anyone? The answer would be yes I love my community and I love The staff."
"The office and maintenance team are amazing here. I have lived in many apartment complexes and I have never experienced a more pleasant team and community like this one."
"While I decided not to live here, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the stellar customer service of Carlon. Carlon was knowledgeable of the complex, the area and amenities. He was professional and kind during my visit, and showed me a few floor plans. Thanks Carlon!"
"I'm delighted to share my review of the rental community I currently reside in. This place stands out for its exceptional community of people. Unlike other commercial complexes, it fosters a warm and welcoming atmosphere where neighbors genuinely care for one another. The amenities provided here are top-notch, making our daily lives more enjoyable. The free coffee on select Wednesdays is a delightful treat that brings the community together. Additionally, the free Jumba classes are a fantastic way to stay active and have fun. One of the unique touches that I appreciate is their service requests. Whenever maintenance personnel visit for service requests, they hand over snacks, which is a thoughtful gesture and makes the experience much more pleasant. Overall, this rental community is not just a place to live, but a true home with a sense of belonging, great amenities, and caring neighbors that set it apart from the rest."
"This has got to be the worst move in experience i’ve ever had. We were planning on renewing our lease from last year because of the convenience of the area but they give us a notice in August that we cannot renew our lease because of renovations but they were offering an incentive to transfer to another unit. Like I said, we liked the area so we went with that option. This company is so unorganized and lacks leadership and communication amongst the team because we had to constantly go down to the office to ask about the transfer process to the new unit and they would say that we should be receiving and email and it would take a couple more visits to the office to finally get an official lease to sign. Move in day arrives and we go down to get our keys and we are told that we need to have a money order. We were not aware of this because we did not receive an email that they were supposed to send regarding our move in checklist. We get our keys and go unlock the door… the keys don’t work. So my boyfriend tries out our previous apartment key out of curiosity on the new apartment and the door opens. Is that not suspicious? Why did our old key work on the new apartment? So we have to wait to get new keys so we can start moving in. I am trying to wash some sheets and the washing machine is not starting. So we look up a video and realize we needed to tighten a valve that was supposed to have been done already but wasn’t. We come back about an hour later and half of our apartment is flooded. There is water everywhere and it’s coming from the washing machine. So I had to run to the store to get mops and towels to clean up this mess that we wouldn’t have had to deal with if they didn’t forced us to move out in the first place. Maintenance is not able to make it until the next day and tells us that there was a drain hose that was not attached by the people who installed the appliances. He said this had happened many times before, so you would think they would double check their new apartments to make sure everything is good. Oh and also some minor issues like our microwave not working, our dishwasher being broken and the rack is falling off the rail, and plastic being left inside the dryer and oven. Truly, this couldn’t have been a worse move in process and the free month of rent to transfer ended up being spent on things to fix this apartment."
