"Stopped here for dinner with the family during a long road trip. We had excellent food and service. Friendly, warm, clean and yummy. If we lived in town it would be a weekly spot to relax and eat great food that I didn’t have to spend all day cooking myself."

"Not a great experience and the response that was given the solve the problems at hand were not at all what a good customer service experience should entail. First, the food was okay. Not great, but okay. The worst part was the service. The restaurant was not at all busy and it took almost 15 minutes for someone to come over and offer us drinks, and we maybe got attention three or so times after that and it just seemed like most tables there were not getting attention they should have. This was disappointing but it is okay. When it was time to pay, each party had a discrepancy on the receipt. It took multiple times to have it taken care of on one of the receipts, and then on the other was charged extra and when asked to change it, got three different answers from those working (which by the way were not in a friendly way). The manager had then stated there was a FIVE dollar up charge for gluten free pasta. It wasn’t posted on the menu, and I feel like 5 dollars for gluten free pasta is ridiculous and entirely inaccessible for those with celiac. I then had felt as if she gave attitude when asked to fix it. There was no apology, or any sort of remediation. Again, if the restaurant was extremely busy I can understand, but it was really quiet so the mistakes seemed more careless than they did out of haste due to the volume of orders."

"This is one of our favorite places. Food is always fresh. Make sure you order the salt bread! Tell them the Gunkel's sent you! A must visit. Off the beaten path! Love the staff the foodcand the location. It's like being on vacation with out all the hassle of traveling. Give them one visit you will be hooked."
