"Charged me $500 only to somehow return my car to me in an even worse condition than when I brought it to them. Combined with their poor communication and customer service, this is easily one of the worst auto shops in the state of New York. I would give 0 stars if possible."
"Brace yourself, this is going to be a long review... I brought my car to get a new speedometer. Went to pick up my car, and was charged. When I drove it, it was clear within seconds that the speedometer was still not working. The mechanic, Juan, had just charged me and sent me on my merry way knowing it was still broken, or at least had not double-checked that it was working! On two other occasions I had to call to see if my car was ready because there would be no word for days, and both times he didn't even remember he had my car! MY last incident: After a call with Juan (after shop hours), he told me to leave the car by the shop, and instructed me where to place the keys. I parked, sent a detailed text message of where it was (even a pinpoint), and the car's issue. I left it on a Wednesday and the car needed to be moved from that place by Friday due to alt-side parking. The weekend passed, and still no word from him. I called to follow-up, and he didn't remember he had my car...AGAIN. He finally did the job, I picked up my car, and though the service I left it for was luckily done right the first time around, I got a ticket in the mail a few weeks later for the alt-parking, since he forgot about my car. He didn't tell me the car got a ticket, nor did he even leave the ticket inside the car so that I could at least see it. This felt sneaky, and deliberate so that I wouldn't hold them liable for their oversight. Next: My mother's car turned off while driving, twice–a SERIOUS issue. I told Jose, the other main mechanic, in person, that this was the *MAIN* issue the car was having. I also asked him to check the rest of the car to see if it needed other fixes. He proceeded to make a bunch "fixes" without telling me beforehand, or to even confirm if I could financially afford to make all of them at the same time–total was just over $1k. After complaining about it, they, of course, proceeded to blame me for not saying I wanted an estimate before he made any fixes. We picked up the car, and stored it in the driveway. After less than 2 months of being stored, we gift the car to my aunt, and a week later, the car shuts off while she's driving! She takes it back to the shop, and tells them they never fixed the MAIN issue. Juan hooks it up to a machine, and tells her "the machine says the car is fine." She trusted them and left. A couple of days later, the car completely shuts off and goes stiff while she's merging onto the highway. Thank God she was just entering and not already in highway traffic, or that could've made for a very serious accident. They didn't fix the issue the first time, and then dismiss it a second time putting my aunt's life in danger! UNACCEPTABLE!! Next: My aunt wanted to sell her car, and asked Juan if he could help her sell it. He agrees, she gives the car a full cleaning, and leaves it at the shop per his instructions. One day she calls him so she can pick up the car for errands. He informs her that they were going to the beach, so the shop was closed. Few days later, she goes to the shop unannounced to get it. She was met with a messy car–sandy, and littered with empty drink bottles. Turns out they had taken HER car to the beach. She also noticed a torn up ticket. So not only did they take her car for a joy ride, but they also got a ticket that they had no intention of telling her about. When she asked about the ticket, all Juan said was, "oh yea, it got a ticket." Taking no accountability. As if the car itself was responsible for the ticket. Last, my sister's car: Her signaling lights would either not go on, or make a loud buzzing sound. When she picked it up after the "fix," she was told there was no bigger issue, and the bulbs just needed to be changed. Within less than a minute of driving, the signals were STILL horribly buzzing. Again, why aren't they checking before charging people?!! Even I know to double-check my work, and my job doesn't potentially put people's lives in danger. We put up with the foolery for longer than we should have. DO NOT recommend you put your trust in this shop."
"I've been doing business with them for many years with my cars. They are the best, always on point and always satisfied with their work."
"Extremely competent mechanics and quality service. I have had a transmission replaced amongst other work and have always been satisfied. The owner is a solid person who is easy to communicate with."
"Went for a vehicle inspection around 9:00am and was out the shop in less than 25 mins. Jose was kind and respectfully responded to my questions. He also let me know the price before starting the job. I left content with the service and would return."
