"While the community is great and apartments are luxury, Maria at the leasing office today made me remove stars out of my five star review. I am an Automotive Mechanic and my job requires on some days that I need to drive company vehicles home outside of my work hours in order to properly diagnose and/or reset computer components within a vehicle by driving a certain amount of mileage amongst many other things. Any Mechanic would know, and would tell you, that this is simply part of our day to day work. (Which seemed to condescendingly be questioned by Maria) With this being said, I would need to leave my personal vehicle at work and take ONE vehicle home with me, which you think would be okay since their agreement is ONE car per lease holder to be parked on the premises. Which is apparently not the case. In the past, when I have had to bring a company car home (which is slim and other residents park over there DAILY for the entire year I’ve been living here, but today it was brought up that was a problem what seemed like just for me apparently) I would park the vehicle in visitor parking just for the NIGHT until I would need to return the vehicle to work in the morning after my work is completed since vehicles can not be parked in resident spots without a pass, however I was unable to do this as visitor parking was full when I returned home from work at night which led to my company vehicle being towed and having to pay $325 out of pocket to retrieve the car off of South Blvd, which was almost expected, however what are residents supposed to do? Park in the sky? Or down the street and walk? Considering how much money we pay monthly you would think they would be willing to work with you to get a temporary pass to find a solution if someone’s job requires something, but no, Maria decided she would try to rebuttal at me on how my work (a personal matter) should be completed to abide by their parking policies which I will detail next. Not only did she refuse to work with me so I’m able to park WHERE I LIVE, she pretty much insinuated it was not her problem, suggested I not bring my work vehicles home (which you’re pretty much telling me to risk my job) and suggested I park my vehicle across the street at Mario’s pizza restaurant instead (where I also would be towed) and asked me personal questions such as “why do you have to drive the vehicles for so long?” Questioning my work almost, as if that seriously mattered considering I was just in the office to resolve a parking issue so I could do my best to be a rule abiding resident. Deanna was very sweet however and understood my situation and I would have rather worked with her, but seemed as Maria had the final say on the matter. I felt like she could’ve dealt with this matter with a little bit more compassion, and I understand policy and that they have to abide by that, but you’d think as a paying resident who has never disobeyed rules or caused any problems would receive some kind of assistance considering this is what my job requires me to do and this is where I PAY TO LIVE. Needless to say, I was not trying to go around policy or try to get a third car parked here, I simply had ONE car, while my personal vehicle was still at work, that I just wanted to be able to park and not be towed."
"The Chestnut Farm apartment complex is an absolutely beautiful place to live and the management team is absolutely wonderful! I love my apartment, and the complex is has neat and clean. I also adore the wonderful amenities offered here, and the management team does spoil us with wonderful resident events. Furthermore, the maintenance team is brilliant as well, and anytime I need something fixed, they take care of it immediately. I would recommend this marvelous place to anyone."
"I give Chestnut Farm a five star! This place has been great for us. A very beautiful place! Well maintained, safe, and quiet community. Lots of things to do around the community. The leasing agents are amazing. Bria and Maria have been extremely patient and kind to us throughout our out of state move. We could not have asked for a better place to live!"
"We have recently moved to the Charlotte area and after touring about 25 places we are very happy with our decision. The staff has been the best part! They are very helpful with any issues & if we ever have a maintenance request they are usually there first thing in the morning! The apartments themselves are beautiful and very convenient to just about everything. The amenities are great, grilling area, private offices, pool, bike rentals, & a awesome gym! I would highly recommend looking into the Chestnut Farm apartments if moving to the area!"
"(Please read update below) This place is beyond beautiful, and a wonderful place to call home! I highly recommend Solis Chestnut Farms to anyone looking to move to an upscale apartment complex on the south side of Charlotte. The amenities are fantastic (saltwater pool, fire pit, outdoor gathering spaces, top of the line gym and yoga studio) and everything you can imagine! Baker was incredibly helpful at helping me choose the right unit, and made the entire process (application to move in) a breeze! There was a slight hiccup on my move in date, a leak in my upstairs ceiling, but Baker and the staff were incredibly quick at getting this fixed and making amends. I definitely made the right choice moving here and am incredibly happy to call this lovely place home. Update 11/22/21: everything has been pretty great so far, though I will have to remove a few stars for the parking situation. I’ve lived downtown in multiple cities, and never run into parking issues this severe! With that being said, I have removed the portion describing the parking issues in detail. Natalie, the property manager, reached out to me the next day to go over all of the plans to solve this issue. I couldn’t be happier with the way the situation is being handled! It appears as if we will be getting parking permits which should severely limit the amount of cars on property that don’t belong to residents. She also said she would call me to follow up after this system is implemented! The team here cares deeply about the residents, and I stand by my statement that Solis Chestnut Farm is the best apartment community that exists! Thank you for continuing to care and make our homes the best they can be."
