"We have lived here for a little over 3 years. Overall we really like it here. Marina and Courtney in the office have always been kind to us. Complaints are handled promptly and the maintenance personnel are kind and professional and come quickly. I would recommend living here."
"Stayed here from 2020 to 2023. Maintenance was always done in a timely manner. They sprayed for bugs quarterly. When we moved out, they only took 100 out of the security deposit for some carpet damage that was honestly already there, but it just got worse by being regularly vacuumed. They could of charged us way more for the damage our cats did to the porch screens and door. I hired a cleaning service (CJ Cleaning) for a moving out/in cleaning. No gas grills are allowed, and they can be a bit weird what they allow on the screened porch. Decent enough place. Ultra low utilities. Never heard the next door neighbor but could always hear the people above us and that's counting 3 different tenants. Great location and never had issues with left packages being taken."
"The location is wonderful, however this is a great place to rent if you like living with huge water bug and jumping bugs, I often found myself chasing bugs on a regular basis, even after maintenance did pest control...my unit was like a cave and very subjective to mold. The first day I moved in my air conditioning unit was not working, I got that taken care of, however maintenance kind of rigged it together and there was a awful running water sound while running the air conditioning also leaving the dirty carpet damp. One day I was walking my 5lb yorkie leashed and was almost attacked by a neighbors big dog that was unleashed.do yourself a favor and choose other options, make hickory trace your last resort. high priced but nowhere near luxurious."
"Do not rent from this place. They go up every year regardless. They also treat their elderly tenants like they are garbage!! The office staff are horrible and they need to clean house. Apartments are noisy and they do not enforce the noise ordinance. They nickle and dime you to death. They will keep your deposit regardless. Please message me and I will be happy to talk with you about why you should avoid this place. Also, the apartments and dark like dungeons!! don't be stupid and fall for their gimmicks !!"
"I have been at Hickory Trace Village for three years now and have loved it. I stayed here from my Senior year of college till now. The apartments are great for anyone living near downtown hickory, Lenoir-Rhyne University, or just needing to get on i40 in 5-7 minutes. I have personally had great neighbors, even one's with dogs. For the most part everything in the apartment has run smoothly and if not then maintenance comes. Maintenance has been phenomenal. If at first they don't succeed then they will absolutely try, try again to make us comfortable. The pools are super nice and only accessible to those at Hickory Trace. There's dog parks and pick up your poop stations, a playground, and tennis court. If I had one complaint, I wish the tennis court wasn't concrete and that the lights would be able to be manually turned on if someone wanted to play at night. I love that the apartments are updating new areas like our breeze ways and our front entrance greenery. No doubt I would recommend this apartment complex for any temporary or long term stay."
