"Our large 8-person group recently stayed at both the Duck House and Duck Nest for a weekend of biking the Creeper Trail and exploring Damascus. Both of these accommodations were awesome! The Duck House is in a beautiful location that is literally a stone's throw from Laurel Creek and the Damascus Old Mill Inn. This house is spacious and well appointed. It has a wonderful front porch with lots of Adirondack chairs available that accommodated all 8 of us. The house also has 2 grills, one gas and one charcoal. The gas grill worked really well for us. The Duck Nest is about a block away from the Duck House. This place is also excellent! It is a nice 2-bedroom apartment over a garage. Very comfortable and perfect. It was easy to tell that the owners go out of their way to make their accommodations wonderful. We were amazed by the attention to detail. They included spices & oil in both kitchens, along with towels, soap, & shampoos in the bathrooms. Hats off to the owners for providing such wonderful accommodations and helping us have a wonderful adventure in the Damascus area. We will be back!!"
