"Steve has been with me through thick and thin... all 7 times he replaced the same wheel bearing without asking himself if anything else could be the cause. It turns out the brake caliper pins weren't sliding. What annoyed me about that was that he took the brakes off each time he replaced the bearing, and I was beating my head against the wall throwing ideas at him and he'd just replace anything I suggested and agree with me. He even did the axle shaft just to try something different. You can't make people think I guess. I had to figure out that it was the slide pins myself by using common sense when the 18th wheel bearing failed immediately after braking fast to avoid a collision on the highway. So I took apart the wheel and used my brain and noticed the slide pins were ceased. I'm sure he would have replaced that wheel bearing for me too. "free warranty parts gotta charge labor" that's his motto. I was scared to bring it back to him. I just bought the whole hub assembly online, it cost me half. But he's not all bad, he sent my BMW to the dealership to have the headlight fixed and I got the car back with a thousand dollar bill and the headlight wasn't fixed. That was for the headlight being fixed. But I had another bill for the oil leak. He fixed that. He's not the worst mechanic. He's got a good shop and a good location. He's just a straight point and click fixer."
