"Quoted me $1800 to rebuild my 4l60 transmission and said it would take 2 weeks. I requested the mechanic to call me when work started so i could discuss my options on the rebuild and asked for them to change my rear main seal while it was out. 6 weeks later they called and said it was ready and that i owed $2800. They never called me to give me a heads up on the $1000 price change. Their reason was because they had to change the pump and some “hard parts”. They also didn’t change my rear main seal. I would have done myself if i had known, new transmissions online are $1800-2200 including new pump. Now. 2 weeks later my transmission has already gone out. I don’t drive this truck hard, or even tow. It’s just my work truck. I Got quotes from other shops for 1050-1500. I want my money back. I will remove review if they make this right and refund me.."
