"Had some wine and guest had a cocktail. It was late and we were told it was closing time. Really not there long enough to take it all in. Was a private party on the second floor unable to see that area. Bar area is small . Lots of cozy seating. Would recommend to start or end the evening there."

"I had friends from out of town visiting and wanted to go somewhere with a more intimate vibe where we can actually have a conversation. We were in the Red Room, and I was happy to see a larger party was just leaving, so I figured it would quiet down, which it did. However as tables filled back up throughout the evening one by one, the noise did creep up to a loud enough level where I was straining to hear what the person next to me was saying. The service was good in the sense that we were seated quickly, server was friendly, happy to answer questions, etc. Since I was unable to drink alcohol I really appreciated that attentiveness in refilling our waters constantly too. However, the service speed for the actual cocktails (our party ordered a whiskey, a beer, and one fancy cocktail) took an eternity. It didn't detract from my experience, but it was a noticeably longer wait for a round of drinks than anywhere I've been recently. I would come back, but I would just secretly hope the speed/timing issues are improved—I would probably try to come here on an off night for that reason."

"Loved the Lorelei cocktail; came in to try it out after seeing it marketed on your Instagram business page. Jonah put it in for me and Josh made it behind the bar. It’s cool how it glows up in the glass. Claire, Jonah and Josh are very kind to me and I also love the artistry of the restaurant. The red and blue room and bar shelf set up. Thanks guys."

"3rd time I've been here and EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm impressed. From the staff to the food to the atmosphere/mood. It a little swanky and a little dark inside, PERFECT for a first date or date night with your best friends! Cocktails take an extra few minutes but they are worth it! Every one is delicious and unique. The staff is outstanding (Jonah, has waited on us twice and he is absolutely delightful) Order the fried bologna....I promise you this isn't the sandwich you got in your lunch in 2nd grade. Pork belly was DELICIOUS, it melted in your mouth. Cheese board is standard but bug enough for 2-4 to share. Just go, thank me later"

"First off the vibe at High Violet is very cool so that should be noted upfront. we were able to be in a VIP room of sorts, but the outside space looks really nice to enjoy on a nice summer evening. Honestly the one star drop is purely for pricing. I understand upscale/elevated experiences, but $17 for fried bologna as a small plate just seems kind of crazy, haha. (I didn't try it, to be fair so it could be worth it). In terms of the drinks and the quality of the cocktails, hands-down some the best I’ve had in town. Big points for the Zombie, which is a delicious overproof cocktail. I also tried to chocolate mousse desert which was tasty in it's own right. I’ve been want to check out this place since it opened and was able to do so my birthday and definitely recommend being somewhere to check out at least once."
