The Shoreliner Motel,

"Written in August and posted a month later in September. We are missing the the lake and staying at the Shoreliner so so so much! We miss it so much that my family, especially my little sister, has been looking for houses for sale around the lake. August 26th 2023. My mom, little sister and I (sometimes also my dad, grand mother, great aunt and a bunch of cousins), used to stay here, at the trailers, every year when we were children and loved it so much. Now, we have our own children and this will be our second year staying at The Shoreliner. We are leaving tomorrow (August 27th), and are going to reserve it for next year when we check out in the morning. After living on the beach our whole lives, there's nothing better than to be able to take your children to a calm lake and be able to enjoy swimming and floating with and without floats, all without the dangers of the ocean to worry about. High tides with huge waves, shorebreaks and rip currents make it hard for kids to play and swim in the water unless it's at low tide. Also, coming into contact with sharks, sting rays and jelly fish is always possible. And unlike the ocean, at the lake you can walk out very far and still be in deep enough water to swim, float, and learn to swim. We love the amenities, and arcade, the rides, putt putt, and there's a bar now, retail stores, restaurants, and the diary queen. There's also a market store to get groceries at and there's gas stations close by and then the Food Lion and Walmart are just a short drive away. We love the Shoreliner and Goldstons Beach and intend to make this a yearly trip for our family and extended family."
