"Beware. Bartenders are running a scam. They take your card to charge for drinks but add whatever tip they want. Also they won’t give you a receipt. If you ask for a receipt they give you hassle and then you’ll see the charges for a tip that you did not approve. It is best to pay cash to avoid shady practices or not go to this place at all!"

"Just an FYI, everytime u pay for a drink they automatically close your card and tip themselves. You never see the actual charges or sign a check. Had to flag down 3 bartenders before I found this out. The bartenders are a bit.....slow in the head. Paid $105 for 5 shots and a drink. This is not Miami. You are a divebar in Raleigh that plays Latin music. That is not even very good. Lol. This place is just sketch."

"I was browsing Fayetteville Street Friday evening and saw Alive. An employee suggested we check it out. A very nice club from what I experienced. This is more of a club atmosphere than a lounge but much better than anything I've seen around here recently. Very good dancing music for those who enjoy a night out dancing. I dropped in for a drink and listened to some music. Walked around the space and I liked what I saw. I have already shared this place with a friend for a suggested night out dancing. Bar service is fast here. Got a drink within minutes. Drinks are on the higher side for what we had but align with the price of things right now."

"I LOVE LOVE the atmosphere and music. I was a faithful guest of their former location for years, however, at the new location some dancers were extra with doing splits at the bar and the bending and opening of legs while youre already dressed with almost nothing is inappropriate for a dancing club were as a couple youre trying to enjoy a night out with your significant other. That type of explicitness in my opinion should be kept at a gentlements club."
