"Got a 1 hour deep tissue massage with Katrina that was fantastic. Over the years I have gone through periods of time where I would have regular massages and also some longer periods where they would be more sporadic with a variety if different people. This was the best work I can remember. She was very strong, symmetrical, methodical, and focused. Will be scheduling some more."
"Recommend against using this facility. For a number years, I have purchased expensive package deals for my wife, and recommended their services to others. This year I did the same. My wife was scheduled to have a massage. We gifted a friend and both she and her friend were scheduled to have the massage at the same time. We purchased the friend's massage as a gift. Unfortunately, due to an aforementioned circumstance where our condo flooded, and we had to move out, my wife left a message as soon as possible, after the event. However, due to the unexpected timing of the flooding event, she called as soon as the office opened on the day of the appointment, to cancel. The manager stated that there was a 24-hour cancellation policy, and that they would not give credit to use the certificate at another time. In spite of repeated discourse, the manager and owner were unbending. A cancellation policy is understandable, to discourage casual cancellations. However, their obstinate attitude to a regular customer who suffered such an unexpected event, clearly shows lack of concern for long term clients, who regularly showed up on time, tipped generously, and recommended their facility to others. The facility clearly is more concerned about their rigid rules, and pocketbook, over the well-being of their clients, and in maintaining a good client-management relationship. Being a physician, whose practice had a similar policy, we took extenuating circumstances into account, and made exceptions when those circumstances were beyond control of the patient. We showed empathy to patients who experienced unfortunate events, because we truly cared about them. This company clearly doesn't. As such, I can no longer recommend Island Massage and suggest that others go elsewhere."
"Love this place! We have visited on numerous occasions and always have the best experience. Catie does an exceptional job asking questions and then applying her expertise to make you feel brand new in an hour. She does a fantastic massage and I would def recommend her."
"My husband and I decided to get a massage for my birthday. We're here visiting my mother-in-law who lives on the island. He got a deep tissue and I got a swedish massage. Each were $90 for 60 minutes. All the staff were very polite and professional. My husband and I were both very satisfied with our massage and left feeling very relieved and relaxed. Our massage therapists listened to our needs and did well at communicating pressure. I got the hot stone add on and Connor did very well with communicatiing when he'd be placing them on me and if the temperature was comfortable. My husband was pleasantly surprised with the hard pressure his masseuse applied (her name was pretty and sounds like anemone). I got my upgrade for free since it was my birthday, which a pleasant surprise. The facility was very cute and clean. We will book this place every year on our annual trip to NC."
"Booked a couples massage here with Katie and Colton. Check in was easy the woman at the front desk was friendly. The massage was awesome. Atmosphere was very relaxing and calming. We were offered essential oils on our pillow which I felt like was a nice touch and is something that isn't offered at our local spa. I feel like Colton listened to what I asked for and delivered. Even with a light massage as requested I left feeling very calm with no tension. My Husband enjoyed his massage as well with Katie. If were ever in this area again we will definitely be back. If you haven't been here you should defiantly go. You will not regret it!"
