"Extremely sexists and bad service. Brought a car in to be inspected and they told me that two of the lug nuts were missing even though they were checked and tightened beforehand. They clearly ripped us off and have no integrity in their service. Recommend for every woman to stay away"
"I usually have anxiety at car repair places , often scared to be taken advantage of. I found Lewis General Tires on google and the reviews are actually true. The staff are all efficient, responsive and accommodating. I waited in the waiting room to avoid being home with the kids and I felt relaxed."
"I've been bringing my cars here for years. I'm always treated with respect. Everyone is so nice. They work with your schedule so you can get your vehicle in as soon as you need to for any problem large or small. I recently moved so I'm a little farther away now but I'm due for an oil change and inspection and wouldn't think of going anywhere else for service. I highly recommend Lewis General Tires and on a scale of 1 to 10 I give them an 11! Sincerely, Kate Luebstorff"
"Thank you Lewis General Tires for servicing my Honda. Louie is awesome! I've never had an issue scheduling an appointment and he's gone out of his way to fit my car in on those unexpected occasions. Also, my husband found the owner very knowledgeable when researching the best tires for my vehicle. I've had my snow tires for 3-plus years now and that's due to the quality of the tires as well as the care given by changing them out for the season. I'm very satisfied with all the services my car receives at Lewis General Tires."
"I moved from TX to WNY in 2017 and found a small shop that I liked (and still like), but one day I needed tire balancing which cannot be done there (or most smaller shops, I’d guess). So, I looked up all tire shops within a reasonable radius and read all of their reviews, and chosing Lewis General Tires was a smart decision. I gradually switch all of my car services over, except for tire rotation which comes in a package with new tires at Costco. This is a great combination/ balanced mix between being small enough (attention to customers’ needs, building relationships, family business atmosphere), but at the same time scaled up enough to benefit customers (professional services, ease and speed of appointments, spacious parking and waiting areas). I especially love the attention to the details, and the educational discussions regarding the plan for services (what, why, how much, how long). For someone who knows nothing about cars and depends totally on their creditibility and ethics, I am very satisfied. Everyone is friendly and courteous at the same time, and value customers’ time. And fast, last time the coffee was out (on one, there is still another one), someone immediately did the refill and also cleaned up the station. I could not add a video, otherwise I would show some cute demonstrations of car issues. Overall, this is a place anyone should be a loyal customer of, because of the way they are treated. Update of Jun 15, 2022. Two days ago, my ignition housing went dead (I had been forcing an old key into it). At 8pm, Lewis Tires was not open, so, I tried to call a few 24/7 locksmiths. Most of them do not do ignition these days (just keys), and one gave me a reference to a guy (I will have to leave him a mildly negative review) who told me he would come and replace for me with $175 labor cost but (1) I had to go buy the parts myself - without a functional car obviously, and (2) he did not give me answers to any technical or financial questions I had, for example, what is the range of cost... The next day, I call Lewis Tires at 8am and it felt so long to me but I was called back at 9am with a reference as well as another call to make sure I was contacted by Bob Dow. Bob came to take the ignition housing out the very same day at 7pm, and return the next day at 12pm (he made sure I did not have to reschedule my tire rotation appointment at 3pm) with the new housing and two new keys, and I did not have to do anything at all, for a total that would be much less than quoted by the other guy, he said no tips but I rounded up the number anyway... Bob, just like Louie, does not go straight to the cost, but explained thoroughly to me the technical issues, so that it was also an educational process for car owners, and they are truly passionate about their field and they want to share their broad knowledge to curious learners. Here is the most important part, Bob told me he had more than enough work because too few people do what he does to as far as Buffalo or even Syracuse. So, he is not listed on Google Map and usually does not do retails... My point is, great people connect with each other and I would not have received services from Bob had it was for the reference from Louie. It confirmed that at Lewis Tires, I am taken care of in all ways they could."
