"Every time we eat here, the food has been amazing! Extremely flavorful and delicious. Prices are steep compared to other Asian/Japanese restaurants, so we only go on special occasions. The value for the food is there, but it would be nice if they offered some type of dinner meal options for larger families. Besides the food, the service here is absolutely phenomenal! The waiter we have often is extremely kind and patient. It seems like all of the workers here are very happy and enjoy their job, which is nice to see. Definitely try the passion roll, it’s our favorite and the flavor combination is excellent."

"Absolutely loved the sushi here! The waiter was super kind to us, plenty of seating, clean, and absolutely mouth watering food. Get the asparagus, avocado, and the cooked California rolls, those were amazing with flavor! The pineapple and chicken fried rice was also delicious as well as the edamame. The mochi was also very good. I also really liked the chill atmosphere of this place. Overall, highly recommend this place for sushi!"

"Great experience at Chakara. We went on Saturday night and they seated us right away even though there was a crowd. Great service. I got the tuna avacado roll which was great, my brother got the Salmon Lovers and we loved the presentation. It was a great amount for the price. He also got the 2 piece eel and said it was the best he had ever had! I would go back again."

"May 2023 -  Chakara Sushi is located in the Fairport section of the Rochester area and like Henrietta, is close to Lake Ontario. Our party of five had a nice dinner here. Service was a little slow as we sat at our table for some time without any wait staff appearing, but after I got up and flagged down one of the servers it was fine afterwards. We shared all orders but my spicy tuna hand roll and my companion's grilled salmon dinner which were both very good. The shrimp shumai and fried pork gyoza appetizers were what we all expected and well received. The edamame was a small serving that gave us all about three pieces and could have been steamed longer both in terms of temperature and doneness. The six rolls we agreed on were all fine bites. Unique selection of specialty cocktails."

"Thanks to the other reviewers for rating this place so highly because it got us to try it out and the reviews are true - some of the best sushi around. They have a ton of appetizers, which are great to share with your group. Their soups are outstanding. They have a sake flight which is unique and tasty. For non-drinkers, they have a ton of hot teas to choose from. All of the sushi I’ve had there so far on my four trips had been incredible. Beautifully presented, and the sashimi and the cooked sushi rolls are all fantastic. Their menu is massive, so it gives me plenty of opportunities to try out more of their delicious food!"
