"I had a great hunt last week Tyler Jones is lying about the condition of the hunting lodge. As for not seeing any hogs I had two sows the first night at 55 yards could not harvest them because they had 15 piglets with them. Second night had a big boar go through the brush by my stand couldn't get a good shot. So I saw hogs . That's hunting. I have been to Cherokee Run 3 years in a row and I definitely will be back next year for another 3-day hog hunt."
"Tom Naumann the owner, runs a top-notch outfit. He works very hard to put you on game. He knows the properties like the back of his hand and is a great guy. The lodge is extremely comfortable. I hunted with some great folks and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend and absolutely will absolutely book another hunt."
"My father, my son, and I had the incredible experience of hunting together as three generations. We had an amazing time, and I believe that the presence of friendly people made all the difference. The lodge we stayed at was clean, and the people we shared our accommodations with were truly awesome. I must give a special mention to Tom and Donovan, who were simply the best. Tom, in particular, was a gifted storyteller, and it brought us immense pleasure to listen to his tales after long hunts, all accompanied by cold beers. During our time, we were fortunate enough to witness a wide variety of animals. On the final night of our adventure, I couldn't have been prouder as a father when my son successfully harvested a deer. We will be back!!"
"Good accommodation, beautiful locations for hog hunting. The stands are comfortable and easy to spot out of. Even a nice little fishing area right near the cabin. Tom the owner/guide will entertain and knows his stuff."
"Overall, what a great way to start my hunting journey! My husband gifted me with a hog hunt for my early birthday present. It was his first time hog hunting and my first hunt in general. We drove down from VA and showed up a little late, but Tom was understanding. Tom was kind, hospitable and patient. He is a wealth of knowledge having run this lodge for 20+ years so don’t be afraid to ask him questions! I didn’t have any expectations coming in and certainly didn’t expect any luxury accommodations for a hunting lodge. I felt like the lodge provided just what we needed: kitchen, clean bedding, towels, bathroom, wifi. There’s even plenty of outdoor grills, a fire pit, shooting range and a small pond to fish some largemouth. Although there were other hunters in other rooms of the cabin, it made for great conversation and advice. Maybe my only complaint were the flies, but that’s more so Mother Nature for you. We hunted before dusk through the evening before midnight (about 6-7 hour shifts) as in this area the hogs are more nocturnal. The night vision we rented were pretty heavy for our personal tastes but otherwise worked great. Tom dropped us off and picked us up on time as the sites were about 10 minutes drive away from the lodge. We went to two different sites on the large property. First site we saw several gobblers (day before season opener unfortunately) and had decent cell service. The other group of hunters caught an hog that night, so don’t worry if you’re wondering - those hogs are out there! Second site for us was much quieter and darker, even after a short rain down. Feeders worked fine and box stands were pretty comfortable for 1 person (I didn’t know that office chairs could make such a huge difference). Although we didn’t catch anything this hunt, I could not have asked for a better first time hunting experience. Will be back again some day. Highly recommend Tom and Cherokee Run!"
