"Nice elevator ride to the top. Swarming with huge wasps. Not much going on while we were there."
"We went to go up on the sombrero today to get the full south of the border experience and the lady who took us up in the elevator and helped us take pictures was so sweet and helpful she definitely helped to ease my mind otw up. Y'all need to give that girl a raise! All in all really enjoyed it!"
"After exploring the inactive amusement park nearby, I prayed I could access the Sombrero Tower...and they were answered! The observation tower, and the arcade below it are open, and a ride in the elevator is $4...plus maybe some quarters for the games, as well as for the binocular vision at the top. The tower stands 300 feet above the town, and offers some nice views of the surrounding area, I-95, and both Carolinas. There is a chainlink fence around the top...as for a time limit for being up there, I'm not sure if there is one, but I was satisfied with the 10 minutes or so I spent. You may be asked to wait for the elevator attendant (very nice guy); my wait was maybe 5 minutes. We had about 6 people in the cab; a bit crowded but not uncomfortable. Definitely worth a visit!"
"Really cool to check out. Not modern thats what makes it so neat. My family loves to see different things. This is a really fun stop even when it’s dead. The shops have neat gifts. Taking pictures of the statues was so fun."
"This location is good stop to make with Sunoco gas station restaurant shops and restrooms. Not very clean inside of the shops and restroom but with large parking lot and spacious gas station, it is doing the main purpose for people/cars stopping by. They have lots funny/festive hats in stock for selling. And some clothings too. Lots of toys and souvenirs. It was a fun stop for us."
