"feels like this atm is never online. Shut this location down!"
"Came here to open our first ever US bank accounts and got an amazing welcome and guidance from Nikole: she was patient with our imperfect English, explained everything and helped on every step of the process. Great customer experience, we left with warm and happy feelings! Thank you, Nikole! The lady cashier was also very sweet."
"Worst banking experience ever. My wife and I applied for a BOA credit card online and charged a small amount ($85.00) as part of a cruise we have planned. We never received the card or a billing statement. A few months later, my credit rating dropped 35 points because of an unpaid BOA bill. I went to the BOA branch on Oberlin Road in Raleigh to address this issue and was told that this account did not exist, but promised to look into it. We never heard anything from this BOA branch, despite my efforts to call (they don’t seem to answer the phone) and email (they don’t answer that either). I received another notice that my credit score had dropped again (another 15 points). I called BOA corporate headquarters (very helpful, by the way) and learned that there was indeed a BOA credit card in my name, but it had been sent to the wrong address. We paid the overdue amount online and got the mailing address corrected. My issue here is that the Oberlin Road Branch apparently never followed up on my concerns, even though it was impacting my credit score. It’s amazing to me that they would tell me that my credit card account didn’t exist, making me think that I was a victim of fraud. I told corporate to close my credit card account - I don’t want anything to do with BOA again."
"If I could give a zero I would, the most terrible bank ever. I was a dedicated member since 2010 to 2022. I was hospitalized for almost half a year. While I was in the hospital boa put a hold on my account. I didn't owe anything they sent me to the creditors for 0 dollars. They wouldn't allow withdrawals only deposits. So when I came out the hospital none of my money could be used. My family and I called and went to different branches but they wouldn't release the money. Come to find out they had a cashier from the window handling my account which is not his job he messed up my account. I had to borrow money from family and friends for a couple months, mind you I can't work because I was in head on collision from a wreckless driver. Also they charge 12 dollar maintenance fees, so no withdrawals but they can charge 12 dollar maintenancefees. I removed all my funds and closed my account."
"My business has worked with this branch for more than 15 years. It was great years ago, but over the years has become an example of a bank cutting corners. Now you can expect 6-12 people in line in front of you most anytime you go in, and more than likely, one banker to help you. They are nice and all, just more focused on opening accounts vs providing good customer service to their current customers. Sometimes you can’t use their tech tools like online banking and ATM’s, etc. I just wish they focused on customers and recognize their norm of 20-50 minutes in line doesn’t encourage customers want to open new accounts. Take care of ALL your customers! This location is disappointing and I would not be surprised if it closes in the coming years."
