"I love how all of the Hampton inns have the same layout and plan. Our room was identical to the one we stayed in in Tampa. I loved it! The breakfast could have been better, but we were there on the weekend, and the breakfasts advertised for during the week looked really good. Overall the staff was wonderful. Very attentive and friendly. It was a wonderful stay."
"Weird place and absolutely overpriced for the service they're providing. On my bed was a sign, stating that unfortunately I have a newly renovated room, but they had to put the old furniture back in as the new one was not ready.. I was surprised, as it was not really recognizable that the room was renovated at all. There's cold air blowing in from a big opening underneath the A/C unit, the breakfast is really sad after the second day, I got a soccer team next door even though other rooms were free and they could have been put easily more separate.. Anyway, I was disappointed and will not return!"
"We have been staying at Hampton Inns since May 1 2017 for a 22 day trip. Many of the Hampton Inns are beginning to show wear and tear and can use some updating. After staying a week at the Hampton Inn Raleigh-Midtown, I was seriously thinking that we need to start looking at other hotel chains. This hotel looks to be at least 30years old or older with no renovations. This may have been somewhat overlooked if the staff were friendly, but we were there for 1 week and barely acknowledged. This has been very much unlike the other Hampton Inns we have been staying at. We were able to choose our hotel room before arriving. The picture was not like the room we had chosen. It was missing some furniture and a microwave. The staff did find a microwave for us, but we had to make room for it to be situated. The room was clean, just shabby. The king sized bed sagged toward the middle. The door insulation was partially sticking out in the hallway. The breakfasts at this hotel were about the same every day with little variation as in the other Hampton Inns. One nice thing is that we are now at a hotel in VA that is only 8 years old and we love it. We are hear for 7 night. It has many things I would like to see in all of the Hampton Inns. Bottom line: Hampton Inns should seriously start thinking about hotel updating if they want to keep their regular guest coming to them."
"The location was okay, only 10 minutes to downtown. The room smelled moldy, but looked clean enough. Service was fine, but the vending machines took only quarters (no card reader or bill slot). Our companions' room in the same hotel was awful: dead cockroach on the ceiling, the toilet didn't work, and there was mold in the bathtub. The staff was unwilling or unable to move them to another room. We won't be back."
"Beds are super comfy, staff is helpful. Continental breakfast is a delight to the senses. Light in the bathroom was flickery, and staff did not change it while I was there. Overall a good hotel stay and no major complaints at all."
