Aside from taking some classes I'm a rank beginner and had never caught a trout (except at a trout farm) until two days ago when Eddie took me to the Tuckasegee River. "I booked a half-day trip with Eddie. I was apprehensive the day prior as a cold front had come through the smokey mountains and it dropped to freezing at night and barely 50 degree forecasted for afternoon high the day we were to go out. Plus, they had opened both dams upstream creating a strong current with high wind gusts. Eddie is not only a true pro but he also has the unique patience and personality for dealing with people bolstered from his prior career as a consumer goods executive. He was patient. Had the best equipment. Got us to the middle of the Tuckaseegee River safely despite currents that were twice stronger than recommended for wading in.
