"Tried out Kaki, a new Japanese Omakase spot in NYC, and it was a standout experience. If you're in the city, indulging in Omakase sushi is a must, and Kaki delivers without the steep prices you might find elsewhere. Compared to Boston, where Omakase can be pricey without matching quality or expertise, NYC offers incredible value, and Kaki is proof of that. The staff at Kaki were super welcoming, contributing to a really positive vibe throughout the restaurant. It's clear they pour their heart into every dish. The meal kicked off with a fun little spectacle - they lit up a fire to present the appetizer, which isn't something you'd typically see at a traditional sushi place. Every course was a hit, making the whole experience one to remember. Definitely planning a return visit."
"I had a great experience here at this Omakase place. The food was great and the service was amazing. This was a BYOB restaurant. You could bring your own booze but when we were sitting at the bar the staff offered us sake as well. Amazing presentation and interesting sushi combos. The price to quality at this restaurant was AMAZING! I highly recommend it."
"$75 for a 15 course meal including mushroom soup, 13 pieces of “modern” sushi, and a matcha pudding. Currently BYOB, but they provided free sake today. The pieces of fish were surprisingly large. If you like modern sushi where they add extra flavors like miso and truffle on top, you will enjoy this place. Most pieces were appropriately garnished with a small addition of these extra flavors. However, I found the truffle on top of the scallop to be too overpowering. The sushi rice was a little on the sweeter side but I enjoyed it. The service and surprise entertainment was great, but the pop music playing in the background was a bit too loud."
"Fantastic Omakase experience in the LES. $75 for 15 pieces + dessert. The pieces were incredible, the service was impeccable and the ambiance was very relaxed. Especially enjoyed this setting as we were able to interact with the staff. They were all so welcoming and friendly. *BYOB"
"This is an authentic Omakase restaurant located in bright block with clean finish set up. The service is excellent and the menu is super price worthy. To be honest, this is my best Omakase experience within this price range. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the food is great and delicious, the design and taste are flawless. I will definitely recommend my friends and families to come back for future visits :)"
