"it's a nice path. it winds by the Catawba river. paved all the way. wide path. easy access even for mobility devices. there is only 1 grade i think may be a lil challenging for those with such, but besides that, smooth walk. it's mostly tree covered. it gets far enough from traffic where all you hear is nature. nice views of river and of the dam, somewhat. it's out and back. it turns around at a house lined street. a few trash cans and doggie bags on trail. some litter that i went ahead and picked up. plenty of parking. no toilets. a canoe launch is close to parking lot. i recommend. ALSO, across the street is trail to South Fork and Blueway Trail."

"Beautiful 1.3 mile cement walking path right along the river. Very wide, good for bikes. Lots of shade. No bathrooms. There is a small workout area near the entrance."

"This is a great place to walk; the trail is fully paved so it's great for strollers. I go there alone to walk my dogs; it feels really safe. You're right by a neighborhood, but it feels like you're in nature. It's a great addition to McAdenville!"
