Lake Norman Motel

"Spent 4 nights in this quaint roadside motel and loved every minute. This is not a luxury hotel. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. We didn't come here to watch TV, so.... Keurig coffee maker in the room, excellent. No one at desk 24/7 to take care of your every wish and desire so make sure you have your [stuff] together during business hours. Nice Tiki bar and restaurant. We spent my wife's 70th birthday here while we toured the area. We will be back."

"Highly recommend ANYWHERE but HERE. Wasn't told until after we checked in that the restaurant and tiki bar weren't open. Room is to small to accommodate 2 adults comfortably. Road noise unbearable. Turned Room key back in within 1/2 hour of arrival !"

"We had a wonderful stay. The room was recently remodeled and was cute and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. We rented kayaks at a discounted rate and enjoyed the lake. There are a few private beaches to get out for a swim nearby, and at 92 degrees, we were happy to do that. The lake seemed clean, and fish were present. The restaurant was busy, so it's probably good, but we didn't eat dinner there. Our room was lakeside, and we enjoyed the cool morning breeze while eating our store bought breakfast on the deck. Rerigerator and microwave in room. Walk in shower. Coffee is good, too! I would highly recommend it if you are in the area."

"Came in from Deep East Texas for family visiting in the area. And if you are from Texas and remember when we had Fried coconut shrimp that was unforgettable then you have too order the meal here. With all the changes of how food is prepared and cooked, because of all the new people coming into Texas from so many other states, then you know how our food is changing depending on where others are from. Lake Norman Motel is the place to stay!!! With boat rentals, bar and grill down below the Motel and the view is amazing. This was the best experience after all the COVID closures, although I have never Visited before COVID. I can only imagine before COVID, my husband and his family is from here. This is a must for the best experience of home if you are original from Texas and had not had Texas hospitality since."

"Such a cute and beautiful place to stay! The rooms are small but in the best way! We were on the back side facing the water and it was beautiful! I recommend getting a room on the back side if you can! Makes it so worth it! I feel like for the location and comfy feel it’s a steal! We drove 10 hours to get here and I’m not disappointed at all! Also go eat at Untouchables Burgers Bakers and Pizza Makers if you can!!! It’s only 8 mins away from the motel and it’s so good!!"
